The Young and the Restless definitely brought the drama this week. From a couple’s argument to a character’s out of control spiral, there was a lot of key moments. Here’s a look at a few of the best moments from September 15-19.
Sally Reaches Her Limit
It wasn’t a good week for Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy (Jason Thompson). The couple were in disagreement over Billy’s decision to accept Cane’s (Billy Flynn) deal. Although Billy tried to reason with Sally, she wasn’t having it. With Billy not changing his mind, Sally kept her word and walked out.
Sally’s anger was already sky-high, but it further increased when she learned Billy lied about Abbott Communications funding. Her heart broke into a million pieces as she realized she sacrificed everything for someone who has no consideration for her feelings.
Billy’s Setback and Spiral
Fans knew it was a matter of time before Billy reverted to his reckless ways. His need to take over Chancellor and take down Victor (Eric Braeden) is consuming his life. Billy thinks this is the way to the top, but he’ll have to go at it alone. He’s already lost Sally, and is in danger of losing his family.
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) dished out tough love to Billy, who was as stubborn as ever. Billy sacrificing his loved ones for revenge will come back to haunt him now that Cane’s cancelled their deal. Suffering this latest setback is sure to send Billy into another spiral, one that Y&R fans are ready for.
Bickering Friends
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) are one of Y&R’s best friendships. However, in recent months, things have been tense between the two. But Monday’s episode showed that the pals are repairing their relationship. Now that they’re working for Cane, they’re a force to be reckoned with.
However, their friendship might take another hit because of secrets. Phyllis became suspicious of Michael when he revealed that Lauren (Tracey Bregman) doesn’t know about his new job. Michael didn’t break when Phyllis pressed him for answers, but her sleuthing could uncover Michael’s alliance to Victor, and ruin Pikey’s friendship.
