Did Vanessa on Beyond the Gates just go from bad-ass to straight-up bad? BTG fans have just started to get to know her son, Donnell, and she already has him packing and on his way back to college. Vanessa says he needs to return to Banneker to be there for his twin sister, but it’s more like he needs to be away from Vanessa and her “business partner,” Joey Armstrong.

If Dani Dupree Thinks It’s Crazy, Time to Put on the Brakes
Miss Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) has nearly zero boundaries on Beyond the Gates. Oftentimes, this show could be called “Dani Does Crazy,” in fact. So, when Dani Dupree calls out anyone’s crazy, their crazy has achieved a new level not seen yet on Beyond the Gates.
Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) has doubled down on being Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrom) other half in every way possible. She’s even invited him into her home in Fairmont Crest. What in the what? Dani Dupree and her sister, Dr. Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix), are going to lose their minds!
Speaking of Fairmont Crest, Leslie’s In & It’s Miss V’s Fault
It is ALL Miss Vanessa’s fault. She did NOT need to represent Leslie/Dana Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant). How dare Vanessa represent the woman who broke up her best friend, Nicole’s, marriage? Why aren’t any of the Duprees calling her out for this? She also represented Bill and Hayley Hamilton (Tim Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings) when they bought their home in Fairmont Crest. Again, how dare Vanessa do this? There is plenty of real estate Beyond the Gates.
Dr. Dougy Barely Buried, Vanessa Is On to The Next Room
Dr. Doug McBride (Jason Graham) is barely dead and buried, and Vanessa has already asked Joey Armstrong over for a sleepover. They won’t be doing it in she and Doug’s bed, however, but freaking still…
How much did she really love Doug? Where are her children on her priority list? Deanna was too devastated to attend Doug’s funeral. Couldn’t she use her mom? No, not according to Vanessa. Her son, Donnell McBride (Alex Cheeks), can be there for Deanna. How rude?

Before Doug McBridge died, Miss V.’s antics were fun. She and Doug didn’t have a conventional marriage, but at least it seemed like they loved one another. Dr. Dougie literally hitting rock bottom in that ravine while she was on a rendezvous with Joey Armstrong was not right. Also, Joey having Doug killed was not right.
