First and foremost, it’s important to highlight that “Leverage” will carry on from everything we experienced in the first episode, particularly with the return of Jensen Ackles as Russell Shaw.
This is a two-part event, and we truly appreciate how the producers have managed to extend this storyline for the time they have.
After uncovering a nefarious underground scheme known as “The Process,” Colter and Russell must hurry to uncover the origin of these interconnected events and put an end to it once and for all.
This happens in the second part of the two-part third season premiere of TRACKER, airing Sunday, Oct. 26 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We believe this episode could hold many answers, or at least we are hopeful, and we also think there will be more opportunities for Ackles in the future.
We understand that he has a lot on his plate, and in addition to this, Tracker will focus on various other projects. This show still contains many procedural aspects, and we don’t anticipate them straying too far from that.

Showrunner Elwood Reid Provided Additional Insights About The Episode And “The Process”
Showrunner Elwood Reid elaborates on Episode 2, titled “Leverage,” set to premiere on October 23.
He teases that as Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene) presents them with the case, it revolves around a man embroiled in a custody battle, unable to reach his ex-wife and daughter.
From that point, the story takes a very, very, very dark twist; it’s not what you would expect,” Reid reveals.
“This concept of ‘The Process’ exists in a similar space,” he continues; what Is “The Process”? “It pertains to these experiments, which may be mental, physical, and psychological, that result in some truly adverse effects.
“The Process” Could Tie Into Some Of Colter And Russell’s Family Mysteries
Some of this could also tie into the larger mysteries surrounding Colter’s family — not the particular issue from the season opener, but it expands that universe.”
He notes, “I think some of the insights regarding his family can be found in that area, and it’s been a pleasure to delve into in the writers’ room.
