The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Matt Clark/Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth) may not be long for this world. Is Y&R setting up a spectacular whodunit during November Sweeps? Could be!
Let’s take a look at the clues fans are talking about, things that could point to a bloody end to the enigmatic character.
Is Y&R Brewing Up an Autumnal Whodunit?
For one thing, Roger Howarth is thought to be signed for a temporary gig. That would make sense if he is actually playing the evil Matt Clark.
Matt is a dastardly villain and his expenditure would not be surprising considering he may have tried to kill Noah Newman (Lucas Adams). Second, if this is Matt, he owes the Grim Reaper!
Is Matt Really Mitch?
Also, fans saw Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in the November 6 episode vow to kill Matt if he so much as looked at his family. Threats like this are routinely tossed out when a character is about to be offed. And, since Nick made the threat, he could be a suspect if Matt/Mitch is killed.
Then again, Mitch and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) have a contentious relationship. He appears to be framing her and there is no love lost between them. Maybe she kills Matt in self-defense?
This is a good possibility since Sienna is carrying on with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams). Which also gives Noah a motive to off the bad guy.
What Happens Next on the CBS Soap?
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) also has motive to kill Matt if she finds out he wants Noah gone.
If there is a bloody whodunit, even Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) could be considered suspects since there seems to be bad blood there.
Not to mention Audra stealing a fat wallet at The Shadow Room. And we can’t count out shady Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen)!
All in all, we predict that the show is building to a gruesome murder that implicates many characters, resulting in a juicy and far-reaching story arc. Stay with us for more updates on Matt adjacent storylines.
