‘The View’ Fans Outraged: Joy Behar & Whoopi Goldberg Crossed The Line

The View’ Fans Say Joy Behar & Whoopi Goldberg Went Too FarThe View has never shied away from heated debates, but this week the conversation took a turn that left both fans and critics buzzing. The daytime talk show, known for its panel of outspoken hosts—Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro—has returned for a new season, but not without controversy.

A Familiar Face Returns With Comedy

For long-time viewers, Joy Behar’s “Comedy Corner” was once a fan-favorite part of the show. After whispers of cancellation circulated earlier this summer, Behar revealed on the Behind the Table podcast that the lighthearted segment is making its comeback.

“People need to laugh. These are difficult times we’re in,” Behar said, underscoring why the producers decided to revive it. With the show under pressure to reinvent itself, fans were hopeful this nostalgic return would inject new energy into the season.

But just as excitement was building, Behar and Goldberg found themselves at the center of a stormy exchange.

The Vaccine Debate Heats Up

During Tuesday’s “Hot Topics” segment, moderator Whoopi Goldberg steered the conversation toward vaccines—a subject that has become one of the most polarizing debates in America.

Referencing a recent Washington Post poll, Goldberg highlighted a startling statistic: one in six American parents now reject vaccination recommendations for their children.

“This is so crazy, but as cold and flu season arrive, a new Washington Post poll found that one in six American parents are rejecting vaccine recommendations,” she said. Then, questioning the shift in public trust, she asked, “When did people stop trusting their pediatricians?”

Goldberg even went a step further, polling the studio audience about their vaccination status. When most hands went up, she quipped, “And you’re all still alive. Okay. I’m just checking.”

That’s when Joy Behar jumped in with a remark that raised eyebrows: “If you’re not, don’t come back,” she told the crowd, leaving many stunned.

Backlash From Viewers

For some, the exchange was sharp-witted and in line with the show’s blunt style. For others, it was a step too far. Critics took to social media to express their frustration, many accusing the co-hosts of dismissing genuine concerns about vaccines.

“I get what Whoopi is saying about trusting educated doctors and physicians BUT over the past 10-25 years it’s not as easy to blindly believe and trust since kickbacks to doctors / hospitals and political bias by media have made things more of a headache,” one viewer wrote.

Another added, “The science follows the money today. It’s all about making money. Why is there vaccine commercials on TV now. To make money. Phizer, etc make billions off of fear. The View is pure propaganda.”
