Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount Exit Sparks Big Changes for Upcoming Spinoffs

Sheridan has developed a number of series for Paramount, which includes the flagship drama Yellowstone along with its streaming spinoffs, 1883 and 1923.

But that’s just the beginning: He also serves as an executive producer for Paramount+’s Tulsa King, Lioness, Mayor of Kingstown, and Landman, in addition to CBS’ singing competition series, The Road.

So, could Sheridan’s exit from Paramount mean an abrupt conclusion for his existing shows and the numerous forthcoming Yellowstone spinoffs?

Will they just transition over to NBC along with its streaming service, Peacock, together with their creator? Or will they be cancelled because Sheridan leaves the network?

No, The Shows Aren’t Leaving, And His TV Contract Doesn’t End Till 2028

Sheridan has struck a deal with NBCUniversal that encompasses both film and television projects. However, his primary focus will be on movies until his television obligations with Paramount come to an end in 2028.

Consequently, all of Sheridan’s existing and forthcoming shows for Paramount will continue to be available on their current platforms, as reported by Puck News.

Therefore, you can look forward to watching the Kayce Dutton spinoff titled Y:Marshals on CBS (or Paramount+) when it debuts in the spring of 2026.

Additionally, there is a series in development that revolves around Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, featuring performances by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, which is also set to be released on Paramount+.

In addition to that, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox, known for his role in Lost, and Patrick J. Adams, famous for his work in Suits, are set to be featured in an upcoming project. They will be appearing  in Paramount+’s new spin-off titled “The Madison”.

This series is characterized as “a poignant exploration of grief and the bonds between people, centered around a family from New York City residing in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

Furthermore, the streaming service had previously announced the project 1944 back in November 2023, although specific information regarding that particular show has not yet been revealed. Keep checking with us for any new updates on Sheridan’s projects.
