It can’t get any worse than this, now can it? That’s probably what Sarah Ferguson is probably thinking to herself right now as she’s facing yet another royal embarrassment.
That’s because both she and her ex-husband Prince Andrew have been stripped of their royal titles in a very surprising move.
Sarah Ferguson Left Devastated Over Latest Royal Embarrassment
Prince Andrew can no longer use his title, ‘Duke of York,’ while Sarah can no longer be referred to as the ‘Duchess of York.’
Prince Andrew even released a statement that said, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”
What’s more, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson can no longer attend any royal Christmas events int he future.
For Sarah Ferguson, the move is absolutely devastating. While she hasn’t been a part of the royal family in a very long time, the title was the last thing that she retained after her divorce. But now that she no longer has it, Sarah feels like she has been stripped from her dignity as well.

Plus, she did like being called the Duchess of York, even though she hasn’t stepped foot inside a royal palace in years. It was a part of her identity, for better or for worse and it also made her feel connected to her two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
But now that it’s gone, Sarah feels like she’s really hit rock bottom. Or at least, that’s how it appears like to the public.
