Hallmark Channel spoilers and updates reveal that it’s the season for Mistletoe Murders! The second season of Hallmark Channel’s festive mystery series debuted on Friday, November 7, at 8/7c, featuring two consecutive episodes that once more showcased Sarah Drew (Emily Lane) in her sleuthing adventures.
The New Season Picked Up A Year After The First Season Finale
A year after the conclusion of the first season, Emily and Detective Sam Wilner (Peter Mooney), who began to delve into her mysterious past just as their relationship was blossoming, are now separated.
However, this separation can’t persist indefinitely, particularly since Emily keeps becoming involved in Sam’s investigations. “All I can reveal is that there’s more Christmas cheer, additional mystery, and certainly more romance.
If you enjoyed Season 1, you’re going to adore Season 2-it expands on the story,” Drew shares with Soaps.com. Fans can also anticipate uncovering some truths about the elusive Emily and the circumstances that brought her to Fletcher’s Grove.
Season Two Goes Much Deeper Into Emily’s Background
“What’s truly exciting about Season 2 is that we delve much deeper into Emily’s background, with more detailed flashbacks-some of my favorite moments this season are found within those flashbacks. We gain a clearer understanding of her character, and we witness Emily and Sam navigating their challenges together,” Drew hints.
The upcoming season also offers “more profound” material for Mooney, showcasing his talents even further, Drew enthuses.
“I’m genuinely thrilled for the audience to experience Season 2. If you’re invested in the relationship between Sam and Emily, you’re going to absolutely love Season 2.”
Sarah Continues, Bragging Up Her Scene Partner
If it includes more of Mooney’s flawlessly executed longing gazes, we are certain we will adore it. “He is incredibly talented, he excels in so many areas; he is ideal for this part, and we have such a great time working together,” Drew reveals. “When I joined the show and took on the role of executive producer, one of my top priorities was to have a say in who would portray Sam. I conducted chemistry readings with about five or six different actors-it felt like a unanimous decision. We all seemed to agree, ‘This is the one, we adore him-he’s just right!’ I was truly pleased that everyone was completely on the same page”.
