General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that during the Friday, October 24 episode, Lois Cerullo said goodbye to Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) and the land of Port Charles. Now, Soap Opera Digest (SOD) has confirmed that the character’s portrayer, Rena Sofer, is officially leaving the ABC soap.
Lois Cerullo’s Legacy
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Lois entered the canvas in 1993, and originally shared a beautiful, but complicated, love story with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) who was posing as “Eddie Maine” the rockstar when the two met.
Sofer exited the show in 1996 to expand her primetime horizons, and appeared in popular shows like Seinfeld, Just Shoot Me, 24, and Friends. From 2013 to 2022 she enjoyed a nice run as Quinn Fuller on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B).
Sofer made a splashing return to GH, after 27 years, when Lois came back to the little town, and re-entered storylines in 2023.
While the run was supposed to be a short one, Lois and Rena ended up staying in storylines for about two years. Much of that is thanks to the intriguing arc GH writers crafted that centered around an unknown teen pregnancy that BLQ had, and a baby which she gave up for adoption.
Much to fans shock, viewers learned that the kid Brook Lynn knew from down the street in Bensonhurst, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) was her son, and the father was none other than, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
The Door Is Always Open …
Lois is heading to Seoul, South Korea to become Allison “Blaze” Rogers’ (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) tour manager, for an unknown amount of time.
With that said, Lois made it clear to BLQ, that if she needed something, her mom would drop everything and return. SOD is reporting that a GH has confirmed “the door is always open” for Sofer to return to storylines.
