Princess Eugenie is being attacked for not reading the room. That’s because she’s just launched a new anti-trafficking campaign.
Princess Eugenie Attacked For ‘Not Reading The Room’
The timing though is all but right as this comes right after the news that says the royal family has dropped both her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, from attending any future events.
That’s because it’s been revealed that Sarah Ferguson has supposedly had strong ties with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein in the past.
It’s also been well-known that the Duke of York was very close to Epstein while he was still alive, too. Not only that, but the royal has also been accused of sexual assault.
To make things worse, it’s also being said that both Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice have visited Epstein island in the past.
Of course, royal fans and critics alike certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
What’s Next For Princess Eugenie?
Some even commented with, “I like princess Eugenie but this campaign is quite doubtful and surprised me with her involvement. I understand that counterfeit production is bad, but so is luxury brands’ production that they are trying to protect by this campaign.”
“It was already with several big brands that they also use cheap labour and bad work conditions. So, for me it looks a bit like the rich try to protect the rich.”
Another critic of the royal family wrote, “Whoever told her this would be a way to distance herself from scandal and whitewash her image should be fired.”
“If you’re not condemning the actions inside your house, your efforts are laughably toothless and horrendously hypocritical.”
And then there was this comment as well: “It’s just seo manipulation stuff and transparently so. Just had more info about parents released…a few days later this story. It’s been happening since at least 2012.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space for more.
