Is he going to do it? That’s what a lot of royal fans and critics can’t help but wonder when it comes to Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
By that we mean, there’s heavy speculation suggesting that the Sussexes should give up their royal titles the same way that Prince Andrew did earlier in the month.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Called Up To Act Fast Over This Matter
However, a lot of people are pointing out one huge distinction: Harry and Meghan haven’t been accused of some of the same things that Prince Andrew has supposedly done in the past.
After all, both Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are accused of having close ties with disgraced but also dead financer, Jeffrey Epstein, among other things.
Of course, many royal fans and critics alike had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “Even if you take the worst interpretations possible of Harry’s behavior in the run-up to them leaving England and afterward, absolutely none of that rises anywhere to the level of Andrew and it’s wild the amount of people who really felt (and still feel) like that’s a serious and legitimate argument. Just no.”
Should The Sussexes Give Up Their Titles?
Another critic of the royal family wrote, “Anyone who thinks that Andrew’s alleged criminality and the serious allegations against him are equivalent to Harry telling his side of the story on the record and mildly criticising members of his family and the institution has a skewed moral compass!”
And then there was this comment as well: “There’s nothing for Harry to follow because Andrew hasn’t really given up anything. Harry would still be in the LoS and he would still have the title of Prince.”
“Too many folks keep falling for the hype and headlines. They allowed Andrew to give a pr statement where he still refused to admit he did anything wrong.”
Now, whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to give up their titles anytime soon remains to be seen, although there are few people who are actually holding their breath and counting on it.
So far the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
