A close friend to the former Duke of York is opening up about how he plans to spend his remaining years, and no, it won’t be with a pen in hand and a memoir on the mind.
No sir! Prince Andrew won’t be going down that tricky road, no matter how much fans may want to hear of the Prince’s colorful life.
Don’t believe me? Ask his big brother King Charles – he’s reportedly the one who personally received the promise.
Prince Andrew Won’t Be Writing A Memoir, But Reports Suggest Sarah Ferguson May
Prince Andrew surprised many when he released a statement to say that he has chosen to willingly give up his Dukedom so as not to keep overshadowing his brother’s reign.
Well, if he ever does want to go back on those words, the easiest way to do that would be to write a memoir, and well won’t that just be interesting?
King Charles reportedly has banned him and his ex Sarah Ferguson from joining the yearly Sandringham Christmas gathering, as well as other important Royal Family outings.
Despite this, Andrew has decided to respect himself and not stir up any trouble for his brother.
Instead, he has chosen to withdraw from public life, and has even given a promise that he won’t be following Prince Harry down the road of tell-all memoirs.
“Andrew won’t write a book like Spare,” a source told the publication, adding, “He has promised the King.”
Will Prince Andrew’s Ex Write Update Her 1996 Autobiography?
It is speculated that even if Andrew chooses not to pen a memoir, ex Sarah may well want to pick up the mantle and write a follow-up to 1996’s ‘My Story.’
According to the source, she has been approached by different publications for the single purpose of writing a memoir.
However, it’s unclear whether her and Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein would be a major talking point in the story.
A source said: “A lot has happened since her last memoir almost twenty years ago such as having cancer twice and becoming a grandparent.
Despite having so many things she could touch on about her life, it’d be nearly impossible to keep Andrew entirely out of it.
“It is not designed to exonerate Andrew but obviously she would not be able to write him out of it as he is an important part of her life. She couldn’t write a memoir without him being in it.”
