The Duke of York who? There’s a new report that Prince Andrew is now going to be known as a whole new different name.
This comes after King Charles’s little brother has been stripped from his royal title following allegations of sexual misconduct along with his supposed association with Jeffrey Epstein. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Prince Andrew Has A Brand New Name
The palace even released a statement that said, “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.
Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”
“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”
“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
Of course, royal fans and critics alike had a lot to say about the matter
Some even commented with, “What he should have really done was Off with his head but this will have to do. He should make sure Andrew Mountbatten Windsor be investigated properly and not the fake investigation of past. It’s the least he can do if he is so sorry for the victims.”
Royal Family News: What’s Next For Prince Andrew?
Another royalist said, “Wow, this is big! I thought I’d never see the day! But it should have happened a long time ago. I never thought Charles would have the guts to do this but given he may not be long for this world (not to be morbid), this may be a IDGAF and a last jab at his brother.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I’m sure that’s where the conversation will steer after the Andrew stuff dies down sayyyy next week. You think they’ll wait that long.”
“As much as some royalists dislike Harry…it’s gonna be very hard to try and equate them to each other to the main general public. Epstein stuff is a whole different beast.”
