Weatherly Shared His Thoughts On Who He Hopes Guests On The Show
The actor is optimistic about Mark Harmon making a spectacular appearance on the Paramount+ series; NCIS: Tony and Ziva is releasing new episodes every Thursday on Paramount+.
He also expressed the scenario in which he would love to see this legendary actor return to the NCIS franchise. Although NCIS: Tony and Ziva has not yet been renewed for a second season, Michael Weatherly appears to have ideas about who might appear on the show.
With new episodes being released every Thursday on Paramount+, fans enjoy watching Michael and Cote de Pablo reprise their beloved roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David.
As the NCIS spinoff approaches the end of its first season on October 23, viewers might be wondering if any of the duo’s former cast members will make an appearance at some point.
Weatherly Described A Scene That Harmon Could Be Featured In
Although details about the cast of the NCIS: Tony and Ziva season 1 finale remain scarce, Michael revealed to TV Insider his dream guest star for the show.
During an Instagram video filmed with the outlet at New York Comic-Con in early October, Michael enthusiastically expressed his desire to see Mark Harmon return as Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
He even has a creative idea for Mark’s appearance on the show; “I’ll start with Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs,” he mentioned in the clip shared on October 15. “I would love to be walking down the street with Tali David (Isla Gie), and this man approaches from the opposite direction and unexpectedly gives Tony a head slap.
Tony says, ‘Thank you, boss,’ and continues walking; Tali then asks, ‘Why did that man just hit you in the back of the head?’ and Tony replies, ‘We used to work together.’
Gibbs Fans Went Wild At The Prospect Of Harmon Guest-Starring
As fans discovered Michael’s desire to reunite with Mark, excitement surged online; “LEROY JETHRO GIBBS!!!!!,” one user shouted in the comments, “Oh yesssss,” another chimed in.
“Oh @themichaelweatherly, I totally agree with you-that would be really awesome,” a different follower added. The last time viewers witnessed Tony and Gibbs together was during NCIS season 13 in 2016.
Although the two haven’t appeared together on screen since then, this has us pondering the possibility of rekindling the connection we’ve longed for! Now, can the executives at Paramount+ please renew NCIS: Tony and Ziva so this dream can become a reality?
