Meghan Markle Thinks She’s Just As Good As The Obamas
Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle managed to sign a multi-million dollar contract with Netflix, that’s where their similarities with Barack and Michelle Obama end. But not in Meghan’s head, apparently.
While at the Fortune summit in Washington, the Duchess of Sussex put it this way, “My husband and I were in an overall deal with Netflix, and then not just similar to Higher Ground in the Obamas’ deal, once that had come to its term, the extension of it, which was such an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership, was now being in a first look deal.”
The royal mother-of-two continued, “Which is also exciting, because it gives us flexibility to go to our partners first, and then at the same time, to be able to shop content that might not be the right fit for Netflix, but has a home somewhere else.”

But then again, Barack and Michelle Obama didn’t get their contract cut after just two seasons with Netflix. To say that Meghan is on the same level or even in the same league as the Obamas is a bit of a stretch for some royal critics.
Of course, the internet surely likes to disagree with a lot of what Meghan Markle has to say. While there’s no doubt that Barack and Michelle Obama have experienced a few bumps along the road, Meghan’s situation has been far worse.
That’s mostly because she is one of the most criticized people in all of the internet and from where it stands right now, it doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon.
So far the Duchess of Sussex herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received just yet.
