It looks like Meghan Markle’s snubs towards the royal family and even Great Britain as a whole is getting more calculated by the day.
That’s because a lot of people can’t help but wonder why Meghan – the Duchess of Sussex – did not wear a look from a British designer seeing how her husband is a part of the royal family. And for a lot of critics back in the UK, this snub was felt deep.
Meghan Markle Snubs Towards The Royal Family Are Getting More Calculated
Some even believe that this was a calculated move by the Duchess of Sussex herself.
Jess Cartner-Morley of The Guardian even put it this way, “But even nice guys pull surprises sometimes, and the royal benediction turned up the hoopla.”
“Meghan’s choice of Balenciaga – a French house founded by a Spaniard with an Italian designer – was notable for the absence of any links to Britain.”
Needless to say, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter Som even commented with, “She isn’t British nor lives there so why does she require championing of any British brand? She wears what she wants. She was invited by them and wore a custom piece.”
“Woman wears clothes from French fashion houses to Paris fashion week. Oh, the horror! Won’t someone think of the children!”
Did Meghan Markle Snub British Designers Again?
Another critic of the royal family wrote, “You all scream you hate her, Meghan is dying to linked and have everything associated with the UK/ brf then around and attack Meghan because she is not living how you want and projected her to be.”
And then there was this comment as well: “ It’s SO WEIRD to me the fixation UK media has with Meghan. I can understand Harry, they think they own Harry after 3 decades. But Meghan owns no allegiance to them. Like literally. Are you kidding me?”
