Meghan Markle left the world of acting when she and Prince Harry became engaged. Since then, she has tried many different income generators, but now she has returned to the set and is filming a new movie. Read on for more details.
The Big Screen
The Sun US reported about the new movie, and it’s not a wanna-be-famous Netflix production. In fact, it’s got a line-up of other stars in it, including Lilly Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding.
Lilly appeared in Netflix shows, and also in Extremely Wicked, and many more productions. Meanwhile, Brie has had a long career in front of the camera and starred in the Captain Marvel movies.
Jack Quaid also lined up extensive appearances and also became a voice actor. In fact, of all of them, Meghan Markle, formerly on Suits, probably has less screen time on the big screen. But, she did appear in the movies like A Lot Like Love and Dater’s Handbook .
Well, this might not surprise you, but reportedly, the new movie is about Meghan Markle. Titled Close Personal Friends, the outlet noted:
[Meghan is] playing herself in the Amazon MGM Studios production about two couples, one famous and the other not.
Presumably, she’s one half of the couple that’s famous. The movie already started filming, and sources revealed that Meghan Markle was already on the set in Pasadena, LA.
Reactions On Social Media
It didn’t take long for the news to arrive on Reddit, and on the r/movies sub, mixed reactions appeared. Not everyone hates Meghan, and some folks felt she should be left alone to be private and enjoy her return to acting. One commenter asked, “Why aren’t these filmmakers respecting her basic right to privacy?”

Apparently, the folks involved in the film are all very excited. The Sun cited a source as stating, “Everyone involved is super-excited, and have been sworn to secrecy about her involvement.” As you can see, not everyone is keeping quiet about it.
