King Charles and Prince Harry’s emotional meeting brought tears for both father and son this past week. As many of our readers already know, the King of England met with his younger son this week at Windsor Castle.
It was the first time they had spoken to each other in over a year, and if not more. It was definitely an emotionally-charged meeting that has left both wanting more.

One source close to the situation even told Us Weekly in a new interview, “They were not sure it was going to happen until just last week. It was super positive and very relaxed.”
“They were catching up personally about the children and what has been going on with Charles and his health. There were hugs and tears at the meeting.”
If that weren’t enough, the insider also added, “They shared a long hug when they first saw each other. Harry started crying and it was very emotional for both of them. They really missed each other.”
“It was a short window of time, but Charles agreed to it because the timing worked out for him and it was a good opportunity to meet while Harry was in London. They met at Clarence House because it’s the King’s home. And it was chosen because it was an intimate, less formal atmosphere compared to Buckingham Palace. They wanted an intimate setting to ease back into their personal connection without any pressure.”
Now, whether or not that will open the door to a real reconciliation between Prince Harry, King Charles and the rest of the royal family remains to be seen. But it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
