General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Scotty Baldwin in the land of Port Charles.
With that said, the legacy character had quite the run on the long-time ABC soap, and while he’s not seen on the canvas, GH viewers can always see what he’s up to on social media.
Recently, the soap veteran hopped on X and hinted at a new adventure: writing a tell-all book about GH! There’s more to this story, down below.
Kin Shriner Teases New Book
Shriner’s X post caption read, “I have been told endlessly I should write a book on GH and my 47 years there, but today it came clear, but I need to get permission from some actors that are still here!!!”
Clearly, Shriner’s alluding to the fact that he has some dirt on fellow cast members, but likely in a playful fashion. Still, there are many fans who would love to hear about Shriners’ time on GH.
After all, he joined the daytime drama in 1977 and played the scheming, yet lovable lawyer on and off until August 2024.
Shriner also played Scotty on GH’s sister soap, Port Charles, during its run from 1997 to 2003. Scotty always disappears, only to end up back in his hometown, so here’s hoping GH viewers will see him return to Port Charles very soon.

Scotty Baldwin’s Return?
Scotty was last paired up with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) before he left, so with her return, could he come back too?
Liesl is a little more preoccupied with family than love, now that her children, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), have turned up alive; however, there’s always room for romance in someone’s life, right?
Then again, with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), Scotty’s best friend and one again/off again love interest, still single and in PC, perhaps she could use some wining and dining from the lawyer? Only time will!
