Now that it looks like both the Duke of Sussex and his father King Charles have put their longstanding feud behind them, there’s a good chance that Harry might begin joining the royal family for the holidays. Or at least, that’s what some fans were hoping for.
However, one source close to the situation says that both Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle won’t be getting an invite to the royal family’s Christmas celebrations in Sandringham in December. And apparently, there’s a good reason for it, too.
The insider put it this way to Vanity Fair, “It’s not the case that Harry is going to be welcomed back with open arms and certainly not in time for Christmas.”
“As far as the king is concerned, the door has always been left open for Harry, but Harry has to pass the trust test. If he does, then I think there could well be another meeting in the new year.”
And while King Charles has opened the door to reconciliation with his son, that’s not the case for Prince William and Prince Harry at all. That’s because the Prince of Wales wants absolutely nothing to do with his little brother.
The tipster also said, “With things being so dire between William and Harry, I’m not sure Harry would even want to be at Sandringham for Christmas.”

“It would be very awkward. He knows he’d probably get quite a frosty reception from most of the family.”
Now, whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will ever spend the holidays with the royal family again remains to be seen. There’s no doubt that King Charles would love to see them there eventually.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful anything will be said.
