Despite all the harm Drew’s done in recent months, Lucas goes into doctor mode to save the politico… with an assist from a guilty-looking Portia. Even as she’s trying to save Drew, hubby Curtis is meeting with Jordan to declare his marriage is DOA. (There are plenty of reasons, but he points out that Portia believes he has a better connection with his ex than he does with his current spouse. Anybody else feel like that’s a lot to dump on Jordan?) During the operation, Portia becomes distracted at a crucial turn and things look dire for the patient. Drew dies… but is brought back by Portia!
When it becomes clear that Willow is a prime suspect, Nina provides her daughter with an alibi, fake though it may be. Proving she’s shrewder than one might expect, Willow quickly realizes Nina gave both of them an alibi which, if exposed as a lie, would reveal they’re both suspects. Willow becomes suspicious of her mom, wondering if she’s the shooter.
Kai and Trina Destroy Evidence
Kai agrees with Trina that they should destroy the evidence linking both Portia and them to Drew. (Guess y’all forgot about that fingerprint-covered baseball bat, huh?) They set the documents on fire, only to have Stella interrupt because she smelled smoke! They make an excuse, after which Anna asks Kai to meet her to answer a few questions. Alone with Trina, Stella suggests that Curtis tried to kill Drew in order to protect the family.
Where Was Alexis?
Ava and Kristina are freaked out when Dante shows up, wanting to talk about an attempted murder. But he’s actually there to ask Alexis if she has an alibi for the time when Drew was shot. Being a lawyer and all, Alexis refuses to answer questions without her own attorney present. Once Dante leaves, Alexis claims to Ava and Kristina that she’s been with their “guest” Ric all evening… then insists that they will be her alibi!
Martin meets with Lulu and in hushed tones, says he has a story that’ll make her the foremost investigative journalist in Port Charles. (Is there a lot of competition for that particular title?) Martin hopes that by busting Drew, Lulu will help halt the investigation into Stella. They’re interrupted by the news of Drew’s shooting.
