General Hospital spoilers suggest that there has been a buzz about a possible Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) return.
After all, now that Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is back from the dead, it only seems right that she is reunited with her bestie. But will this happen? Thiebaud teases this during a chat with Soap Opera Digest (SOD).
Brad Cooper’s Status
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Brad left town this past May after he received a nice lump sum of money, courtesy of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Brad spilled about Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) tampering with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) medical records to the congressman and exited Port Charles right away.
With that said, there’s always a chance that Brad could swing back into town. After all, he was just mentioned this week when Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) filled Brad’s ex-husband, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) in that The Britch was back. As fans know, name drops never happen by accident!
Plus, other than Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), whom Britt is trying to refrain from getting close to, the good doctor hasn’t exactly received a hero’s welcome.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was excited to see her; however, Britt’s own mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), did slap her daughter across the face upon learning how far she went to lie about her death.
GH co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, recently told SOD, “She’ll (Britt) need a shoulder to lean on and a partner in crime.” However, they also added, “Hard to say if that will be Brad… he really went through it when she ‘died.’ Would you forgive your bestie for faking her death?”
Kelly Thiebaud’s 2 Cents
Meanwhile, Thiebaud told SOD that she couldn’t see why GH wouldn’t bring Brad back. The actress added, “I mean, that was such a fun relationship that everybody loved, and it was completely different than the other friendships on the show.”
She noted, “I think it’s much needed — and I also think Brad has his own story there, too, you know? It’s not just to come back as my bestie. I really don’t see a world where that wouldn’t happen!”
