General Hospital Spoilers: Will Nina’s Guilty Plea Sabotage Willow — Or Save Them Both?General Hospital spoilers report Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) pled guilty this week to giving a false statement to the police.

Her bold move brought tears to her eyes as Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) shouted expletives and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) looked utterly stunned by her mother’s betrayal.

Nina couldn’t even look her daughter in the eye. She knew what she was doing and how it looked, but the fans seem to be sympathizing with her, knowing she was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

General Hospital Spoilers — A Slap on the Wrist

The real sticking point on this issue is that Willow is looking at this like she probably wouldn’t be in this mess if Nina hadn’t offered up that fictitious alibi to the police when Willow never asked her to. The last thing on Willow’s mind was making up a story about where she had been.

She was just fine with telling the police she walked out of work and went for a walk in the pouring-down rain to clear her mind. It didn’t sound sane, but it was the truth, apparently. But Willow’s perception isn’t exactly on point.

Even if Nina hadn’t told that story, and even now in light of her admitting that it wasn’t true, Willow can’t explain why the weapon was found in her belongings at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place.

But seeing how Nina was let off the hook is going to fuel Willow’s anger even more, which could mean she sets herself up in the long run.

GH Spoilers Boast the Fans Aren’t Loving Willow’s Fury

Many GH fans are getting rather annoyed with Willow’s constant stream of anger toward her mom. This time around, some think it’s warranted while others are saying they hope this storyline gets stronger than Nina having to choose the lesser of evils with her plea.

One fan posted on Facebook, “It’s going to be so stupid if GH acts like Willow doesn’t understand the position Nina is in here!” Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) should be able to explain that strategy to Willow, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to want to hear it.

Besides, we can trust that Drew will be in Willow’s ear feeding her every soundbite of vitriol toward her mother that he can. Will it work? Is Willow still seeing Drew in clear sight, or has she backpedaled and decided to fall prey to his manipulations again

General Hospital Spoilers — A Mother-Daughter Disaster

Marco Rios (Adrian Anchonda) made it abundantly clear to Nina that she had no leg to stand on trying to pretend she was with Willow when there was camera footage that told a different story. She had to come clean, and Marco asserted that doing so would help Willow down the line.

Is that true though? It’s not going to look that way from Willow’s perspective. It’s possible that Nina recanting her statement will sink Willow even further given that she has no solid alibi.

While Marco claimed Nina would be able to testify on Willow’s behalf, we can expect the state to cross-examine her and ask why Nina offered up a fake alibi when she clearly didn’t need one, implying it’s because she thought her daughter might be guilty, which infers she thinks she’s capable of having committed the crime. Ouch!

However this works out, few fans see a way through where Willow and Nina end up back on the same team. Poor Nina, she just can’t hang onto anyone!
