General Hospital spoilers report Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) knew exactly what he was doing when he stopped by Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office to give her the scoop on Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) allegedly missing alibi on the night of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.
That wouldn’t matter so much if it weren’t that she had more motive to want him dead than many others did — and that few know about it. While Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) put his life on hold to help her out, he’s looking forward to this investigation wrapped so he can get on with life with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
So he’s going to be motivated to poke holes in this plotline as Alexis spins a narrative that Portia may be guilty just to get Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) set free. If I had to guess, his first target will be Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) equally faulty alibi.
General Hospital Spoilers — Portia May Not Walk Away From This
Although Alexis really didn’t want to get in the weeds with Sonny, she was intrigued by what he had to say about Portia’s potential involvement. Besides, he wasn’t trying to bribe her or sway her in any direction. He just gave her a worthwhile tip that we fans know is going to work out.
Of course, it’s not going to play out very well for Portia, who is trying to keep her affair with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) under wraps. Having to tell the police where she was that night isn’t going to help her hang onto Curtis for the foreseeable future.
In fact, once he knows she has an alibi, he might decide to run — not walk — to file for that divorce. Of course, that’s only if Portia has the nerve to come clean. If she decides keeping Curtis in her corner is more important, she might continue to claim she doesn’t have an alibi.
GH Spoilers Squeal Curtis Puts the Pieces Together
If Portia claims she was home alone or in some other situation that can’t be verified, she’s going to have a hard time completely wriggling out of this one.
It’s likely that Curtis will jump to the conclusion that Drew told Alexis about Portia’s possible desire to see to it that he never takes a breath again. But one confrontation will shut that down quickly.
After all, why would Drew tip anyone off that he was blackmailing someone? Instead, he could redirect Curtis by pointing the finger of blame at Sonny — since he did walk in on him with Alexis at her office.
Will Curtis come to realize Sonny ratted Portia out in an attempt to prevent Alexis from going after Michael like Drew wanted?
General Hospital Spoilers — A Private Eye for an Eye
Fortunately for Portia, her soon-to-be-ex-husband is a former private investigator. When he needs to put on that PI hat, he knows how to do it. Will Curtis start snooping around to figure out the truth about what happened that night?
While he’s busy digging into why Alexis went down this road, he may fail to realize the real party he should be investigating is his wife.
Unable to verify where Portia was, he may try to poke holes in Michael’s alibi with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), and that’s not a hard task if he finds equitable dirt on Jacinda to put pressure on her to retract her statement to the police. Yikes!
