This is in spite of keeping Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) sedated and locked away in the basement-however, might an unexpected medical emergency throw a wrench in their plans and tranquility?
Ric Lansing Has Had Two Major Hits To The Head, With No Medical Attention Given
Ric has experienced two significant head traumas without any medical intervention, and Ava is giving him sleeping pills.
While sleep is essential for recovery from a concussion, how do they know that Ric isn’t suffering from dangerous brain swelling or even internal bleeding?
Although in soap opera land, where a character can die from a lamp to the head, while another can be shot in the back twice and still live, you just never know.
Of course, daytime drama writers come up with crazy storylines that somehow feel authentic, but could Ric be harboring serious health concerns that are festering?
To an untrained observer, he might seem alright, but since the ladies are unaware of his medical history, and he’s seldom awake, Ric could be a ticking time bomb.
The Trio Are Only Days Away From Leaving This Problem Behind
Alexis, Ava, and Kristina are mere days away from breaking free from this madness, but what if Ric suffers a life-threatening health scare, such as uncontrollable bleeding??
What if he begins to foam at the mouth or vomit, would the women genuinely let him die without seeking help, or take him to the hospital and leave him behind?
Either way, both situations would have dire consequences, raising the likelihood of them getting caught and exposing their secrets, including to his and Alexis’ daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
While it’s unlikely that Ric will actually die, if he did, the three women would need to come up with a plan to ‘clean up’ the situation and hide his body.
If They Dropped Him Off At The Hospital, Surely They’d Be Seen
If they opt to take him to the hospital, they may find themselves at risk of being noticed, whether by someone in the vicinity or captured on a surveillance camera.
Additionally, depending on the timing of Ric’s medical emergency, will the money they are expecting be on the brink of clearing, or will it arrive just a day or two beforehand? Worse yet, what if the person who observed them dropping Ric off was a freshly released Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), leaving them ripe for blackmail?
