General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal there are some “family connections” among several actors currently in Port Charles; two pairs of actors played family members previously.
Two of them played a mother and son, while the other two played brother and sister-in Llanview, Pennsylvania the city of “One Life To Live”.
The ABC Soap “One Life To Live” Originally Brought Three Actors To GH
Fans should remember that some years ago, three actors from the cancelled ABC soap “One Life To Live” migrated to General Hospital-originally Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson.
Originally, they came as their OLTL characters, until a lawsuit involving ABC and an independent production company who’d bought the rights to the show wouldn’t allow the characters to continue.
Therefore at that time, Roger’s Todd Manning became Franco Baldwin, Michael Easton’s John McBain became Silas Clay.
As for Kristen Alderson, her character Starr Manning left GH entirely, a new character being written named Kiki Jerome-who ultimately was played by Hayley Erin.
Longtime ABC soap watchers will recall there have been many characters who went back and forth between all the ABC soaps-there used to be several, not just one.
Soap Lovers Should Recall When Erika Slezak Played Victoria Lord Buchanan
Soap lovers who’ve watched when OLTL was still on the air should remember when Erika Slezak, now playing Ronnie Bard on GH for a short arc played Victoria Lord Buchanan for years!
In the episode of October 23, those fans will have some Viki flashbacks when she tells Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) she always had a thing for cowboys!
That’s because Viki’s husband was from a family of ranchers and cowboys, although he became a newspaper man. But there is even more of a connection to OLTL and its fictional town of Llanview, Pennsylvania as we’ll go on to explain.

On One Life To Live, we previously mentioned there were two pairs of actors currently on GH who were related to each other when they were on OLTL, and one pair played a mother and son.
Chris Mc Kenna (Jack Brennan) played Erika Slezak’s Viki Buchanan’s son Joey Buchanan from 1990-1993, he came on board at age twelve and played Joey through the age of fifteen.
there are two more OLTL alumni currently on GH who were on much later than Chris as Joey, and they played brother and sister.
Amanda Setton, Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase on GH played Kimberly Andrews on One Life To Live, while Josh Kelly played Cutter Wentworth. And they were the grown children of OLTL’s Alex Olanov, played by Tonja Walker, who also played the late Olivia Jerome on GH!
