General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) is walking into danger-and there may be more than one trap he’s being lured into! We know about Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) plans to take him down-but it may not be the only one!
One Might Think That Jack Is Behind The Kidnapping Of Anna Devane
From the seeming clues in the show, especially Valentin’s warning to Carly, one might think that Jack was behind the kidnapping of Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
However, when the actual call came in to Jack, while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was in the WSB office, the voice said, “Jack, something’s come up”. It sounded like Anna’s voice, but then, when she was shown in a concrete cell with a speaker, that voice sounded like Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove).
When Anna was in the car before she was chloroformed and kidnapped, she had called Jack and wanted a call back-but she didn’t say something’s come up!
Chances are, the person behind her kidnapping used a voice simulator to sound like Cesar to Anna, and like Anna to Jack!
Wouldn’t Jack Have Been The One To Tell Anna She’d Been Recalled To The WSB?
Something is fishy about this whole scenario of Anna being the one to tell Jack she’d been recalled to the WSB-shouldn’t that have been the other way around?
With Jack being the local field office chief, and he being the one to recruit and assign agents for cases such as the last project of Faison, it seems he’d have recalled Anna.
It’s true that Jack was the director when he forced her out, and she took over the police commissioner job when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) relinquished it.
However, he seems to be able to make decisions on and work on cases outside of a local field office’s jurisdiction-like when he sent drone strikes.
He destroyed the operation in Somalia that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) had, plus he destroyed the Five Poppies where Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was working!
Jack Isn’t Onto What’s Really Happened To Anna-Yet!
There is a possibility that Jack could have set up Anna’s kidnapping, and the call that came in when Josslyn and Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) were there was faked by him. But what if it wasn’t, and this second call came from her kidnapper, hoping to lure Jack into a trap?
She’d already called him leaving a message about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) idea that Sidwell and associates were using her fear of Faison to mess with her head!
And it seems that she was already in the clutches of her kidnapper when the second call was made, and her captor likely has her phone.
Plus, Pascal (Marc Forget) showed up in town the same day as her kidnapping-might he, in concert with Sidwell be laying a trap for Jack as well?
