General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could face arrest after making a false confession to protect Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) from going to prison. Is Carly ready to sacrifice herself for her son?
Carly Vehemently Defended Michael To Anna
Certainly, Carly strongly defended Michael in her last talk with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Most GH fans don’t really think Michael shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) either, but he’s still a suspect.
However, by the end of Anna’s questioning of Carly in the October 3 episode, it appeared her attention had turned more towards Carly than Michael.
Anna recognized that Carly would do anything to safeguard her son – and Carly might just prove her right as this plot unfolds. During that intense questioning, Anna confirmed that Carly had access to the Quartermaine mansion.
Carly Could Have Gotten Her Hands On Edward Quartermaine’s Gun
This indicates that Carly could have accessed the gun from Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) collection, which is associated with Drew’s shooting. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is concerned that the alibi Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) gave for Carly may not be solid.
It feels like all the elements are coming together for Carly to potentially find herself in handcuffs!

If Carly makes a false confession to protect Michael and gets imprisoned, it will be devastating for Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears). However, Carly might be ready to make that sacrifice, knowing Sonny will look after their young daughter.
It May Be More Important To Carly To Ensure Michael Can Be A Father
It seems that Carly may prioritize keeping Michael available to father Wiley and Amelia, knowing Sonny will take care of Donna. There could also be a time when Carly impulsively reacts as Michael’s situation takes a turn for the worse.
She might have a protective moment, where she claims responsibility and does everything in her power to keep Michael from being incarcerated.
