General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has been raising red flags for fans in the last week. Her informal interview with Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) left her feeling like she said something incriminating, even though she knew she didn’t.
It doesn’t seem like Carly is all that guilty, nor does it seem plausible that she would risk everything she’s got going on in her life to go to jail over shooting someone like Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). But that doesn’t mean that isn’t where she’s going to end up.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Thinks Michael Shot Drew
Laura Wright recently sat down with Soap Digest and laid it all out about how Carly is currently feeling about Michael.
She is worried he’s going to go to prison for shooting Drew, and she thinks he may have actually done it. After all, he was there that night; Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) saw him, and there is no guarantee she will lie and cover for him.
Furthermore, his only alibi is a call girl he has paid off — the same call girl who Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) paid to sabotage Drew.
Wright told the publication that Carly will essentially stop at nothing to make sure Michael doesn’t go to prison for this, implying she would go to prison for him before she lets him go down for this.
GH Spoilers Say the Fans Don’t Like It One Bit!
Let’s get real for a minute. Carly going to prison hardly makes sense! She’s dating a federal WSB agent. Her ex-husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), is arguably one of the most powerful men in the country.
He has kept her and countless others out of prison more times than we can count, not including himself. Carly forsaking herself when she has a family and children and grandchildren who need her just to spare Michael and his two kids — doesn’t make practical sense.
She has a child, Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), at home who needs her every bit as much. This storyline isn’t going over well with much of the fanbase.
General Hospital Spoilers — Can She Get Away With It?
Could Carly have planted that gun at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place on purpose? Sure, and it seemed like that’s what she was up to that day she stopped by and then subtly pranced around the townhome out of the Head Nurse’s sight.
But the context of this situation is important because if Carly was trying to frame herself for a crime she didn’t commit just to take the heat off Michael, it wouldn’t make sense that she was stowing the gun at Elizabeth’s house.
Instead, it looks like Carly might have planted the gun to make it look like Willow is the shooter — framing her to take the fall for Michael. How did she get ahold of the gun?
It’s possible it was all the Quartermaine estate all along, tucked away for safe keeping by Tracy herself, and that Tracy is working with Carly to protect Michael. Ouch! Sorry, Willow!
