General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will soon swallow her pride-might she reach out to comfort Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in his time of grief?
Jason is tasked with delivering the somber news that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) has died, and he may have been the one to find her; he calls to report a death.
Britt Is Too Stubborn To Admit That She Still Has Feelings For Jason, Other Than Anger
Britt is too stubborn to admit that she still has feelings for Jason, other than anger-and jealousy because he dumped her to marry Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
But it started as a mob business marriage, to protect Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mob territory when he had been presumed dead.
The marriage didn’t even get to a wedding night, as Sonny returned from Nixon Falls with his memory back before any consummation could take place.
Britt was still angry at Jason over that when they thought he was killed on Cassadine Island, trying to rescue her mother.
This was when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) still had some heroism and goodness in him, and he held Britt back from running towards the tunnel collapse.
Britt Faked Her Own Death And Jason Came To The Rescue-Tried To Get Her To Open Up
Truth be told, Britt never got over Jason-she had it bad for him when they fell in love on the run in Canada. He was the one who was there for her when she tested positive for Huntington’s genes, and at least at the time, she thought he loved her too-until Carly!
Jason came to her rescue and got her out of Five Poppies before she blew up with the lab-and yet she was too mad to tell her story. When he found her on the pier after regretting she’d returned to Port Charles, he wasn’t going to give up on her. And he wasn’t taking no for an answer!
Britt Swallows Her Pride And Reaches Out To Jason
When the news spreads that Monica has died, and Jason’s the one who delivers the news, Britt swallows her pride and reaches out to be there for him.
She knows she has no place in the Quartermaine family, she knows that she’s considered an outsider and even a threat in some peoples’ eyes! But yet she knows what loss and grief is, there’s no doubt about that-and she knows how to be a friend when one’s needed.
Jason has lost the only mother he ever knew-and Britt feels like she’s lost Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) as well. Of course she’ll be there to support Jason in his time of grief!
