General Hospital spoilers tease Port Charles is filling up with zombies — or something like it. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) return was one for the books.
Coming back from the grave might be common fodder for soaps like GH, but Britt pulls it off well, especially as she continues to keep the real reasons for her staged death and time in that Croatian lab close to the vest.
Within days of Britt coming back to town, her brother Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) followed suit — crashing into a guard rail and waking up in the hospital as though the last seven years had stood still.
Much like Britt, he has no explanation for where he has been. Now, fans are clamping that third time’s the charm, and they’re wondering who might come traipsing back into town postmortem.
Five Years Later
It’s been five years since Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) fell from the cliffside as Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) watched. About a month later, it was reported that her body was found, but fans have long since theorized that it could’ve been someone else.
Between faked DNA tests, shady labs, sketchy doctors, and sinister masterminds like Nelle, Port Chuck has seen its fair share of body doubles and fudged lab results.
It’s entirely possible that Nelle is still out there, and a lot of us would love to see her come back and stir the pot while her family is being ripped apart at the seams.
Family is Forever
This week, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were arrested in connection to Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.
Willow is Wiley Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) legal mother via adoption, but if Nelle came back to town, would it be rendered null and void? Would she attempt to reenter her son’s life after all this time, or would she too be sharing a jail cell with her twin sis and her mother?
Willow hasn’t been happy with Nina for a couple months now, and Nelle coming back into the picture today would certainly give her a better in with her mother while Willow is giving her the shaft. Plus, it’s likely Wiley is going to blame this conspiracy mess on Nina for making up that alibi.
Faison is Forever Too?
But Willow, Wiey, and Nina aren’t the only family members likely to be on Nelle’s mind. She has two family members in town who have just returned from the grave — apparently never dead and now back to reclaim their lives. If they can do it, she can, too, right?
Perhaps, and almost certainly if they all have the help of another “dead” man that everyone is thinking is running this con — Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
The fans dishing over this theory are already wondering whether it would be the real Nelle returning, or some sort of plant similar to suspicions about Nathan right now. Can you see it?
