General Hospital' Recap Wednesday, November 5: Sonny & Justine's Date, Anna Kidnapped, Remembering Sam

General Hospital recaps for Wednesday, November 5, reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had lunch with Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was kidnapped.

Also, the Davis Girls remembered Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) realized she needed her family, as did Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).

Sonny Corinthos Had Dinner With ADA Justine Turner

Sonny rented the Throwing Club for a private dinner with Justine but switched the menu from pizza with olives to lasagna. She joked that he, the town’s supposed crime boss, set a trap for her, the acting district attorney, by bringing her to a place with sharp weapons and no witnesses.

When Justine missed her first throw, Sonny teased that she threw a hatchet like she played softball badly and joked about her attending his team’s games. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

She replied that she needed to ensure he wasn’t cheating- just because she hadn’t caught him didn’t mean he didn’t cheat. Sonny leaned in and whispered that he slipped through her fingers.

Sonny Asked Justine To Forgive Him

Later, during dinner, Sonny asked if she forgave him for trapping her so she wouldn’t prosecute Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). She said it didn’t matter since the PCPD was pursuing a case against Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so she didn’t need to recuse herself.

Sonny insisted she should, but Justine didn’t want to pass a high-profile case to an associate, especially since she was confident she would win.

Sonny argued that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) would portray her as an ambitious prosecutor trying to make a name for herself. And if Justine won, she would face the anger of Congressman Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for sending Willow to prison.

Anna Devane Talked To Jason Morgan About Her Cesar Faison Fear

General Hospital recaps for Wednesday’s show note that Anna called Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to her office and asked him to check with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) being alive.

She became emotional, sharing that after years of torment from Faison, she felt relief after his death, but now that uneasy feeling was back.

“It feels like Faison’s presence is closing in on me,” she said-Anna expressed guilt over the chaos Faison caused and felt she needed to end him if he was still alive.

Jason then mentioned he had asked Britt the night before about her father’s link to the Five Poppies, but they were interrupted before she could respond.

He promised to follow up with Britt and reminded Anna that he shot Faison, and it wasn’t staged; “You can trust me when I say that man is dead,” he confirmed.

Jason Suggested Anna Was Being Gaslighted

Still feeling uncertain, Anna drew a comparison between Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) shooting and that of Faison. But Jason reminded her that Nathan was young and in good health, whereas Faison was older and suffering from Huntington’s disease.

Anna sighed, admitting that her PTSD related to Faison overwhelmed her and stripped her of all reason. Jason then speculated whether Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and his team were intentionally leveraging the threat of Faison to manipulate Anna’s thoughts and keep her off balance.

Before Jason departed to pick up Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), Anna expressed her gratitude for his calming presence.

Anna Is Kidnapped!

General Hospital recaps for the November 5 episode state that later, the commissioner entered her vehicle and left a voicemail for Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna), expressing her belief that Sidwell and his associates were using Faison as a distraction.

Once Anna started the car, a gloved hand emerged from the backseat, covering her mouth with a chloroform-soaked handkerchief, which caused her to lose consciousness.

When the commissioner regained her senses, she found herself in an empty room, handcuffed to a metal chair! As she cried out for assistance, a man’s voice echoed through a speaker, telling her in a Danish accent that she was being taken to a new life.

Terrified for her safety, Anna shouted “No!” and struggled to escape her bindings.

The Davis Girls Tried To Comfort Scout Quartermaine

As Halloween marks the first anniversary of Sam’s passing, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) made an effort to comfort Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante).

She was reluctant to celebrate despite Halloween being her favorite holiday. They persuaded their niece to enjoy a viewing of Hocus Pocus, while Kristina assisted Scout in decorating pumpkins, and Molly stepped out to fetch a surprise.

Scout shared her fondness for stories about her mother, particularly since Drew primarily spoke of Willow. Kristina assured her that she could discuss Sam with her aunts and grandmother whenever she wished.

Danny Morgan Is Comforted, Too

Additionally, Kristina offered her niece an encouraging talk, reminding her that her mother was watching over her and that she was never alone, as the Davis girls always supported one another.

Alexis called Danny to her office; she was concerned about ruining his Halloween plans, but Danny said trick-or-treating reminded him of his mom.

Alexis praised his strength for his sister but urged him to express his grief- Danny claimed he was fine and that Scout was the one they should worry about.

He felt he let his mom down by not looking after his sister. While Danny blamed himself for the situation with Drew, Alexis noted that Drew’s anger was because Danny reminded him of Jason.

Danny’s Special Gift For Scout

General Hospital recaps for the Wednesday, November 5 show state that with tears in their eyes, they both fondly recalled memories of Sam, and Alexis comforted Danny by reminding him that his mother continues to live on through him and Scout.

She highlighted the wonderful traits he inherited from Sam and expressed just how proud she felt of him. When Jason arrived to take Danny home, Danny handed Alexis a bag of candy intended for Scout.

Once alone in her office, Alexis succumbed to her emotions and wept. Meanwhile, in the hallway, Danny inquired of Jason about their sleeping arrangements now that Drew had taken ownership of the house.

Jason responded with some encouraging news regarding that situation.

James West Sees His Dad

After taking James West (Gary James Fuller) trick-or-treating, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) brought him to Bobbie’s to meet Nathan.

However, the boy dashed past his father to show Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) his Halloween treats. Once Felicia introduced the men, Nathan noticed the connection between James and Cody.

He returned to his table, feeling let down that his son didn’t seem as thrilled to see him. Sitting down across from Nathan, Felicia comforted her son-in-law, assuring him that James was also eager to get to know him.

But she suggested that the boy needed some time to adjust.

Nathan West Admitted His Jealousy

When Spinelli joined them, Nathan admitted to feeling jealous about James’s bond with Cody, but he expressed gratitude for the many people in his son’s life, especially with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) absent.

Spinelli seized the moment to stress the importance of maintaining James’s routine, which led Nathan to inquire if Spinelli was curious about his intentions regarding custody enforcement.

Both Spinelli and Felicia felt a sense of relief when Nathan disclosed that he had no immediate plans to pursue that, believing that neither he nor James was prepared for such a step.

James Shares His Candy

GH recaps for the November 5 show indicate that at another table, James offered Cody all of his lollipops, fully aware they were Cody’s favorite.

Cody proposed they share some with his dad, but James preferred to finish sorting his candy first. Spotting Molly at the counter, Cody called her over, but when he saw Nathan glancing their way, he quickly made up an excuse to leave.

Rising to his feet and taking the box from her hands, Cody offered to guide a puzzled Molly to her car. As they made their way to the exit, they paused at the other table, where Molly was reintroduced to Nathan, and Cody reminded James to share his candy.

Once they were outside, Molly reclaimed the box of cupcakes, demanding to know why Cody was behaving so oddly.

Cody Bell Explains

He explained that he sensed Nathan was upset because James was ignoring him, so he was searching for a reason to leave when Molly arrived.

Praising him for his thoughtfulness, Molly apologized for jumping to conclusions about him. When Cody joked about his past foolish actions, Molly commended him for his considerate and heroic deeds, like rescuing her dad from the woods.

This made Cody uneasy since it was all fabricated. Before heading off to deliver the cupcakes to Scout, Molly assured him she was exploring options to halt the sale of the Quartermaine estate.

Cody informed her that ‘Q Manor’ was no longer on the market.

The Family Celebrated Maxie Jones Birthday

Back inside Bobbie’s, James handed Nathan a grape-flavored lollipop, recalling from their time at the hospital that it was one of his father’s preferred flavors.

He then extended an invitation to his dad to join him for trick-or-treating next Halloween. Following that, Spinelli, Nathan, Felicia, and James came together to celebrate Maxie’s birthday, with James making a heartfelt wish on behalf of his mother.

Meanwhile, Cody observed from outside through the window as James blew out the candle on the birthday cake. He  silently wished that his mom could be there with them.

Remembering Sam McCall

Molly made her way back to Alexis’s house, carrying the Halloween cupcakes that, unfortunately, appeared somewhat squished due to Cody’s rough handling of the box.

When Molly mentioned to Scout that she had spotted James at the diner enjoying a meal with his family, Kristina couldn’t resist teasing her sister, adding she had also seen Cody there.

Later on, when Alexis finally returned home, she presented Scout with a thoughtful gift from Danny-Scout’s and Sam’s favorite candy.

In a sweet gesture to honor her mother, Scout decided to share the candy with her grandmother and aunts, spreading a little joy among them.

Gio Palmieri Was The Voice Of Reason

General Hospital recaps note that Gio visited the Quartermaine mansion to help pack and found out that the sale to Drew wasn’t finalized.

In fact, he learned Tracy was actually the rightful owner. Looking around the quiet room, Gio wondered why they weren’t celebrating.

Tracy explained she had kicked the family out for siding with Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak). Gio understood Tracy’s anger but pointed out that Ronnie had fixed her mistake before it caused real harm and suggested Tracy ease up on her.

Tracy responded that if the family didn’t accept her choice, they could find another place to live, which meant more room for Gio since his parents had moved out.

Tracy dropped the topic when Gio said he was okay living at Sonny’s.

Gio’s Encouraging Words

Gio speculated that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) left her the house because she believed Tracy could keep the family united, and she laughed at him.

Gio pointed out how she had stepped up for the family, but Tracy argued she just liked to fight and wasn’t the family’s glue. Gio said all they wanted was for her to accept Ronnie as family and be nicer; “That’s not choosing her over you.”

He explained, “It’s about being generous, that’s what a family leader does-whether you accept it or not, you are now the head of the Quartermaines.”

Tracy tried to deny being the matriarch but finally admitted she needed her family; “And so do you,” she told her great-grandson, who agreed.
