‘General Hospital’ Recap September 17: Britt And Carly Battle, Cody Hides A Furry Fugitive & Jason Finds Monica Dead

General Hospital Recap September 17: Britt And Carly Battle, Cody Hides A Furry Fugitive & Jason Finds Monica DeadGeneral Hospital recaps for Wednesday, September 17 reveal clashes, hiding furry fugitives, a traumatic discovery, and so much more!

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) clashed at Bobbie’s, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) hid Outback, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) found Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) dead.

It Gets Messy In The Quartermaine Kitchen

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) came back from a long run to unwind and encountered Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Chase wanted to talk about the connection between Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Judge Eva Heran (Tessa Auberjonois). (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

He believed that Drew either killed  or arranged for her murder to hide his actions, and was sure that keeping Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) away from her children was Drew’s true intention.

Dante found this illogical, pointing out that helping Willow regain her children would actually make Drew appear heroic. Chase theorized that Drew aimed to cut Willow off from everyone else, making her entirely reliant on him.

Dante And Chase Continue To Discuss Their Theories About Drew’s Shooting

Dante remarked that if Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) or Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) discovered the bribe, they would each have a reason to shoot Drew. “The more we investigate this, the more complicated and disturbing it becomes,”

Dante sighed. Both of them had been on the radar as Drew’s attacker, and they were both persons of interest. Both Dante and Chase have reasons to have to make sure they’re objective in the investigation-Dante’s brother is Michael and Chase’s ex-wife Is Willow.

Willow Shows Up At The Quartermaine Mansion With Scout Cain

In the Quartermaine foyer, Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton), Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), and Michael were excitedly preparing Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) for his first day of school.

When the doorbell rang, Wiley rushed to answer it and was overjoyed to find Willow at the door, accompanied by Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante). He leaped into his mother’s embrace.

As Tracy, Michael, and Brook Lynn shot her disapproving looks, Willow clarified that she had brought Scout to visit Grandma Monica for a hug before school, a cherished annual ritual. Sensing the rising tension, Brook Lynn quickly took the kids upstairs to see Monica.

Tracy Made Ugly Accusations To Willow

Tracy then accused Willow of using Monica as a pretext to have contact with  Wiley; Willow maintained that Scout merely wanted to visit her grandmother.

Michael did not support Willow, prompting her to remind him that their custody matters were about to be reviewed by a new judge. Willow said the new judge would probably be more understanding towards her as the mother of their children.

This is your opportunity to mend fences,” Willow advised Michael;  “I recommend you seize it.” Tracy persisted in her outburst, sneering at Willow, “You have some audacity, using Monica’s granddaughter as a means to access my home.”

Michael And Willow Majorly Clashed

Michael told Tracy to back off, then turned to Willow and informed her that until a new judge was appointed to their situation, Judge Heran’s decision remained in effect.

Michael went on, “You know, I really felt sorry for you after that decision,” he mocked. He twisted the knife further by saying that now, he wouldn’t alter their custody agreement even if he had the chance because she was an unfit mother; “I’m unfit?” Willow retorted.

“Drew mentioned he believes you’re the one who shot him!” and Michael brushed off her comments as “just fantasy,” claiming he hadn’t shot Drew and wasn’t going anywhere. Tracy watched Michael as Willow added that when Michael went to jail, she would gain custody of their children and ensure he never saw them again.

Brook Lynn Returned With The Children, Willow Left With Scout, Brook Lynn Talked To Chase

Brook Lynn came back with Wiley and Scout, who had just finished their first-day-of-school hugging tradition with Monica-Wiley felt sad that they couldn’t all go to school together.

He felt better when Willow told him that it wouldn’t be long before they could spend “lots and lots” of time together, then shot a meaningful glance at Michael.

After Dante departed, Chase recalled the discussion he had with Willow prior to Drew’s shooting. He mentioned how he had spoken positively about her to Judge Heran, and Willow had shared that she had devised another strategy to regain custody of her children.

Brook Lynn entered and expressed her frustrations to her husband regarding the tactic Willow had just employed, using Scout as a way to visit her own kids.

Chase Was Sympathetic To Willow, Explained To Brook Lynn Who Was Supportive

Chase felt for Willow and informed Brook Lynn that Drew had committed another terrible act — something he couldn’t disclose to her or Willow due to an ongoing police investigation.

Brook Lynn’s heart softened, empathizing with the tough situation Chase was facing. He expressed how it was tormenting him to know something that could prevent Willow from ruining her life, yet he couldn’t share it without breaching his responsibilities as a police officer.

Brook Lynn reminded him that everyone had already attempted and failed to reason with Willow, worrying if he sacrificed his career and Willow still chose Drew, it would all be in vain. Whatever choice Chase made, Brook Lynn assured him of her support-she gave him a kiss before leaving for the day.

Willow Returned To The Quartermaine Kitchen, When Chase Returned

Later, Willow entered the now-vacant kitchen, recalling the harsh words exchanged between her and Michael when  Chase came back, breaking her thoughts. With a bright smile, Willow said that Scout had forgotten her favorite water bottle, so she returned to get it.

Chase pointed out that she had snuck in through the back of the house. Willow admitted she wanted to avoid seeing anyone, and Chase mentioned that Brook Lynn had told him about the earlier drama.

Willow inquired if there were any updates on the Judge Heran investigation-Chase hesitated and replied that there were none.

Cody Hid A Furry Fugitive When Dante Showed Up At The Stables

At the stables, Cody was reading an article on his tablet about Judge Heran’s murder-he asked his cute interloper, Outback, whom he called “Sandwich Stealer,” if she liked true crime.

When the dog barked, Cody quieted her so Tracy wouldn’t find out and get him in trouble for having an unauthorized pet. Hearing Dante coming, he told the dog to hide, saying, “Quick! It’s the law,”  and then Outback dashed into another room.

Cody was shocked when Dante said Britt was back in town because of Jason. Dante complained about Britt for a while, then noticed Cody’s troubled look and apologized for being inconsiderate; he had forgotten about Cody and Britt’s past.

Cody Was Supportive Of Dante, But Also Defended Britt

Cody understood Dante’s feelings about Britt’s return, and Dante made it clear he would never forgive her for what she did to him and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).

Cody defended Britt, stating she recognized her mistakes and was trying to improve her life. Dante scoffed, saying Britt had let her mother think she was dead for two years, proving she was still “just as twisted and deceitful as ever.”

He expressed his frustration that Jason had brought Britt back into their lives without any warning; “I need to stay away from this guy,” he fumed.

Britt Was Locked Out Of Jason’s Room In Only A Towel While He Talked To Carly Downstairs At Bobbie’s

A confused Britt woke up and looked around, sighing, “I really am here. It wasn’t just a nightmare.” She let out a frustrated shout, then complained about Jason putting her in a “hovel above Kelly’s or Bobbie’s or whatever they’re calling it these days.” She went to take a shower, grumbling the whole time about not having a private bathroom.

When she came back, wrapped in a towel, Britt found she was locked out and threw a fit. Meanwhile, Jason visited Bobbie’s, and Carly informed him they had important matters to discuss: Drew was going to blame Michael for his shooting.

Carly Begged Jason To Find A Way To Protect Michael

Carly urged Jason to find a way to safeguard her son “because there’s a chance he might be guilty;” she lacked evidence  Michael shot him but knew  Drew had been provoking him.

She also updated Jason on how Drew had incited Michael to hit him at the Metro Court. Carly requested Jason to speak with Michael to see if he would admit anything to him, warning him that from now on, if he learned anything about her children, to inform her. “No more secrets!” she warned- Jason appeared guilty, as he was hiding a significant secret from her regarding Joss.

He then reassured Carly not to fret — if Michael was guilty, he would do everything possible to ensure he didn’t face consequences.

Carly Shocked By Her Nearly Naked Guest

As Carly expressed her disbelief that Britt was alive, Britt herself stormed into the dining room, still wearing just a towel.

he was there  to reprimand Jason for not informing her that his door locked on its own. Carly was taken aback as she saw her half-dressed guest; “Wow,” she remarked, rising from her chair-good morning to you; all of you.”

Jason attempted to clarify to Carly why he hadn’t been able to warn her that Britt was in his room. Britt retorted that this was none of Carly’s concern and quietly said, “Don’t I know it” when Carly mentioned trusting Jason.

Carly And Britt Clash

Carly insisted that it was her concern, as she was the owner of the property, and her patience began to fray as Britt kept belittling Bobbie’s.

Britt huffed that she had anticipated a more welcoming response from Carly, considering she had saved her daughter Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) life.

Carly retorted that her gratitude had been greater when she believed Britt had put herself in danger for Joss. Jason stepped in as a mediator, reminding Carly that she had allowed him to manage the room and telling Britt that she lacked alternative housing options.

Just then, he received a call from Tracy, calling him back home, which left the two women to carry on with their tense reunion.

Carly And Britt Continue Their Argument

Following a series of sharp exchanges regarding Jason, Britt turned to Carly and asked, “What makes me such a threat to you?”

Carly chuckled at the idea. “You can’t compare to the history Jason and I have, or the trust we’ve built,” she asserted.

Britt, knowing the secrets Jason was keeping from Carly about her daughter, made a sarcastic remark about that trust, which earned her a wary glance from Carly.

Britt quickly backtracked and stated that she had no intention of competing with the connection between Jason and Carly. In fact, she wanted nothing to do with Jason at all, to which Carly’s skepticism was evident.

Josslyn And Vaughn Enjoy Their Last Allowed Time Together

In Australia, Joss and Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) came back from surfing, sharing kisses and playful teasing. The atmosphere shifted as Vaughn reminded Joss that their time was almost up — the 24 hours Jack  Brennan (Chris L. McKenna)  had given them was nearly over.

Joss mentioned that they would still be in the same city, with him working for Brennan and her undercover at PCU. Vaughn expressed his doubts about Joss being able to keep her cover, and she reminded him that Jason had promised to keep quiet.

He replied that Britt had no reason to stay silent, but Joss believed Jason could persuade Britt to remain discreet.

Vaughn Worried That Josslyn’s Cover Could Be Blown And Brennan Would Move Her

Vaughn worried that if her cover was exposed, Brennan would move her. This thought saddened Joss, as she didn’t want to be apart from Vaughn.

Vaughn suggested that being in different cities might make things easier for them, since the WSB rules prohibited their relationship, “for a very good reason.”

He concluded, “You and I need to find a way to cut off our feelings for each other.” He added that he didn’t think anything would make that simple, and soon, the pair began to make love again.

Kai And Trina Meet For Coffee And Talk About Drew’s Shooting

Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) met for coffee. She was eager to hear about his meeting with Drew and felt relieved when Kai told her that Drew had no idea they were in his house the night of the shooting.

Kai mentioned that Drew had asked him to bring the items from Drew’s safe to the hospital, which shocked and upset Trina.

Kai explained how he managed to avoid doing that, and Trina pointed out that Drew still didn’t know that Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) test results were missing. This, meaning he no longer had any blackmail material against Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

Kai Was Still Worried About Some Details

Kai wasn’t feeling much better, though-he worried to Trina that he might be seen as a suspect, since the police know he can get into Drew’s house. He told her he thought they shouldn’t be seen together anymore. Trina was sure that the police wouldn’t suspect him, but Kai believed that could change if they could place him at Drew’s on the night of the shooting.

He didn’t want her to get into trouble because of him. Trina reminded him that they had both been at the house that night-plus, Trina noted that they had a valid reason to be seen together, since they used to date.

Trina Suggested She And Kai May Be Working Things Out

Kai emphasized the “used to” part, but Trina believed it was possible they were trying to resolve their issues. Kai didn’t want her to feel like she had to fake giving him another chance. Recognizing the significant risk Kai took for her and her family, Trina mentioned that it might not be a lie — perhaps they truly were trying to work things out.

She expressed to Kai how guilty she felt for involving him in such a chaotic situation-“No,” he corrected her; “I wanted to help.” Trina then shared with Kai her reasons for not informing Portia about obtaining Heather’s medical records.

Kai Had An Alarming Realization

They came to a consensus that they preferred no one else to be aware of their visit to Drew’s or their exploration of his safe.

They merely wished they had successfully concealed their actions. They recounted the events of that fateful night and suddenly remembered hearing Drew’s phone ring, the familiar sound of Scout’s ringtone echoing in their minds.

Suddenly, Kai jolted as he remembered the softball bat he had taken and left behind in the living room. “Oh no,” Kai moaned, realizing the bat was still in the living room and that his fingerprints were all over it.

Tracy Wanted Jason To Break The News About Drew’s Shooting To Monica

Jason entered the living room where Tracy was, and she shut the door to maintain their privacy. She revealed to him that she had witnessed Michael escaping the crime scene on the night Drew was shot, mentioning that she had no intention of informing the police.

He expressed his gratitude for her confidentiality and promised to prevent Michael from being implicated in the crime.

Tracy then shared that although she had succeeded in keeping Monica unaware of the shooting, it was just a matter of time before the truth came out.

She believed that Jason should be the one to tell Monica, and he agreed to deliver the news as gently as possible.

Jason Found Monica Dead

Tracy expressed her gratitude, and Jason went off to handle the challenging assignment of briefing Monica on Drew’s shooting, knowing that she and Drew were once close.

Once Tracy had given the guards a stern warning over the phone for permitting Willow onto the property, Jason came down the stairs, his eyes filled with tears and his posture hunched.

Tracy instantly felt that something was amiss, fearing that she didn’t take the news well at all.

“How did she handle it?” Tracy inquired; “I didn’t even get the chance to tell her,” Jason answered quietly-“she was already gone”.

Tracy exhaled sharply in distress and shock-Monica had still been alive not that much earlier as Brook Lynn had taken the children to her.
