Today On General Hospital – Ned’s Family Waited For News On His Condition

After hearing about Ned’s heart attack, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) went with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to G.H.

There, they met Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner), Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Brook Lynn anxiously asked Olivia about her father, and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) arrived to inform the family that Ned was in critical but stable condition, waiting to see if the medication would help improve blood flow before surgery.

To Portia’s dismay, Britt interrupted and told the Qs that, according to Lucas’s assessment, Ned had a widowmaker heart attack.

This was  due to a completely blocked artery, insisting to Portia that they needed to operate right away.

Portia Told The Quartermaines The Medical Team Intended A Less Invasive Procedure

Portia explained to the Qs that the medical team was trying to take a less invasive route. When Britt interrupted again to voice her opinion, the chief of staff took her aside and reprimanded the disgraced doctor for overstepping.

Portia reminded Britt that she was not authorized to treat patients and that the decision was hers to make.

In response, Britt pointed out that if it weren’t for her, Ned might not have reached the hospital and warned that Portia’s wait-and-see approach could be fatal.

As the two women argued, Jason stepped in, suggesting they all take a break. He invited Britt to join him at Bobbie’s, and she agreed, albeit reluctantly.

Emma Praised Gio For His Quick Reaction

Meanwhile, in front of the family, Emma praised Gio for his quick reaction, and Brook Lynn felt moved when Gio called Ned “Grandpa.”

Portia then returned to inform them that the coronary angiogram showed a complete blockage, and Ned was being prepared for bypass surgery.

She assured Brook Lynn that she would do everything possible to ensure Ned recovered before taking Olivia to sign some paperwork.

While they waited for Ned to finish surgery, Gio told Emma that he had a good talk with Ned earlier and was making progress in building a relationship.

When he regretted the time he had lost, Emma tried to console her boyfriend, reflecting that Ned understood Gio had been dealing with a lot and had given him space.

Brook Lynn Leaned On Chase

Additionally, she mentioned that he shouldn’t give up on his grandfather just yet because she believed Ned was fighting to return to them.

Over by the couches, Lulu asked if she could join Brook Lynn and Chase, not wanting to make things harder since Brook Lynn already disliked her. “You’re only half right. Sit down already,” Brook Lynn responded with a slight smile; later, while Lulu went for tea, Brook Lynn told Chase she was scared of losing her dad.

Her husband joked that the Quartermaines were incredibly stubborn and that Ned wouldn’t go down without a fight, then he gave Brook Lynn a comforting hug.

Once Olivia came back from the chapel and Lulu returned with the tea, Brook Lynn expressed that she needed to thank Britt for saving Ned.

Lulu Bragged Up Gio For Doing CPR While Her Teens And Danny Walked Into Trouble

Lulu informed them that, according to Britt, Gio had done CPR until she arrived. Surprised to learn about the efforts Gio made to save her dad, Brook Lynn caught his gaze across the waiting area and mouthed “thank you” to her son.

With a small smile, Gio nodded in acknowledgment. At PCU, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) , and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) used the key fob they had taken from Britt’s purse to enter Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab.

However, when they switched on the lights, they found no animals present. Danny questioned whether Emma had been mistaken about the professor’s animal testing all this time, but Charlotte and Rocco decided they had to search the lab.

Rocco Created A Distraction

After failing to find any evidence of animal testing, the trio called the mission a failure and were about to leave when the keypad activated. Rocco quickly turned off the lights, and the three of them hid just before Dalton entered the room.

While Rocco, Danny, and Charlotte were concealed, Dalton worked on the laptop in the dim light. When he couldn’t locate a specific file, he grumbled that Britt had rearranged things, then moved to a filing cabinet.

As Dalton approached the spot where Danny and Charlotte were crouched, Rocco opened and slammed a desk drawer to create a distraction.

Rocco Accused Dalton Of Moving The Animals

Standing up to reveal himself, Rocco declared that he had snuck in and accused the professor of moving the animals he was illegally testing on.

When Dalton recognized him as the mayor’s grandson, Rocco warned that his grandmother would have the professor arrested, but Dalton retorted that he would have Rocco arrested for breaking and entering.

To divert attention from Rocco, Danny attempted to announce his presence, but Charlotte pulled him back down.

After Dalton had physically removed Rocco from the lab, Danny criticized Charlotte for stopping him, and she pointed out that Rocco had put himself at risk to protect them.

Realizing that Rocco was in deep trouble, Danny told Charlotte that he knew someone who could assist them.

Martin Supported Laura

Meanwhile, in a different hall on the PCU campus, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was getting ready for the mayoral debate when a confident Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) approached her.

He started boasting that her friendship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would lead to her downfall during their confrontation.

Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) arrived to support his sister and offered to leave if she preferred. But Laura said that even though she was disappointed by what he did to Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak), she wouldn’t cut him out of her life.

Although he couldn’t stay for the debate, Martin offered to give Laura tips on how to deal with Ezra, emphasizing that his loyalty was to her, not to his client or Ezra’s associate, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)

Laura Shared Her Worries

Laura shared her worries that Ezra would twist the fact that she appointed Sonny’s son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) , as acting police commissioner.

He was the only one available to do so  while Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was away, Ezra  suggesting it meant she was in the mobster’s pocket. Encouraging her to defend her decision, Martin had Laura practice her explanation for appointing Dante.

Laura voiced her fears that Rocco might get caught in the middle of the conflict between her and Ezra, as the teen was also Sonny’s grandson.

Martin reassured his sister that her integrity was what made her popular with her voters; he added that if Ezra played dirty, it would only highlight Laura as the better option.

Laura Confronted Ezra

After giving his motivational speech, Martin wished Laura luck for the debate and left to meet Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) .

Later, Laura asked Ezra if they could focus on the issues instead of attacking each other’s personal lives, to which he replied that it wasn’t his concern if her connection with Sonny couldn’t withstand public examination.

Chuckling at Ezra’s assertion that his personal life was beyond criticism, Laura challenged him to make all the personal jabs he wanted, but she would concentrate on the topics that mattered to voters.

Then, Dalton brought Rocco into the lecture hall and insisted that someone contact campus security.

Laura told the professor to let her grandson go, but Dalton insisted he wanted Rocco arrested for breaking into his lab-Ezra smirked with satisfaction, while Laura felt horrified.

Drew Came To Alexis’ Office Looking For Willow, And They Argued

Drew arrived at Miller & Davis looking for Willow, who hadn’t returned home after being released on bail.

Alexis told him that her client mentioned having something important to do. Drew wanted to talk about defense strategy, but Alexis refused, reminding him that her client was Willow, not him.

Annoyed by Drew’s repeated threats to withdraw access to Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante), Alexis finally agreed to do everything possible to clear Willow’s name.

Drew pushed her to  implicate Michael, but Alexis said she would mention Michael as an alternative suspect, along with anyone else who might have pulled the trigger.

Drew Was Not Happy

Drew was not happy with that response and angrily stated that he wanted his nephew arrested as soon as Willow was acquitted.

Alexis questioned whether his real priority was freeing Willow or convicting Michael; she became irritated when Drew told her he had asked Martin to be her co-counsel. “This way, you can concentrate on proving Willow’s innocence while Martin can focus on proving Michael shot me,” he declared.

Before leaving, Alexis warned Drew that she only had one chance to free Willow.  And  if he continued to pursue his vendetta against Michael during the trial, there was a strong possibility that Willow would end up in prison for good.

Martin Arrived

Later, Martin arrived, thinking that Alexis was in favor of their partnership. Frustrated, Alexis clarified that she was working for Willow, not Drew.

She said  the best way to help her client was to present many suspects, thus putting the PCPD on trial in the jury’s view for hastily focusing on Willow while ignoring other possible shooters. Impressed, Martin called it a strong strategy.

“I know that,” Alexis retorted; “Tell your boss to leave me alone.” Martin agreed to persuade Drew to step back but cautioned that if Drew let her handle things her way and she failed to clear Willow, there would be serious consequences.

Willow Was Shocked

Willow was taken aback when she got to the Metro Court Garden and spotted Michael and Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell).

It reminded her of the morning she discovered the escort in her and Drew’s bedroom; when he saw his mother, Wiley hurried over to give her a hug. Meanwhile, Jacinda, looking worried, questioned why Willow wasn’t in jail, and Michael speculated that she must have posted bail.

Wiley then brought his mom over, and Michael expressed his astonishment at her presence. Willow coldly remarked that she had expected to find Wiley at the restaurant with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)-not with Michael and his ‘friend.’

Wiley Said Jacinda Is His Dad’s Friend And Willow Learned She’s Nina’s Assistant

As Wiley introduced Jacinda as his dad’s friend, Willow informed her son that they had already met. She then added a sharp comment that the last time she saw Jacinda, she was dressed quite differently. Maintaining her composure, Jacinda noted that a lot had changed since that time.

Willow retorted that it seemed Jacinda was still in the same profession and was surprised to find out that the escort was now Nina’s assistant at Crimson. To ease the tense atmosphere, Michael told Wiley it was time to head home for bed.

Willow Confronted Michael

As he bid farewell to his mother, Wiley expressed his worries since she had been taken away, and Willow assured her son that she would never leave him again.

Willow was furious when Wiley asked Michael if Jacinda could join them at home to see his pet spider, and she pulled her ex-husband back as Jacinda left the restaurant with the boy. Holding back tears, Willow shouted at Michael for putting their son in contact with a sex worker, then accused him of framing her.

Michael remained quiet as she claimed that Alexis would confirm he had planted the gun in her room, but he just smirked before walking away.

Willow Called Drew

Willow called Drew to meet her at the restaurant; when he got there, she told him about her encounter with Michael.

Through tears, she shared that after making bail, she contacted the Quartermaines to check on the kids-Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) informed her that Wiley was at the Metro Court Gardens with her mom. However, when she arrived, she saw Wiley enjoying ice cream with Michael and Jacinda, almost like a family.

Drew commended Willow for her strength, stating that this situation showed Michael was unfit for the kids; Willow expressed her frustration about Jacinda being able to see the kids while she couldn’t.

Drew reassured her that they would leverage Michael’s bad decisions, and he also noted that he had asked Alexis to help clear Willow’s name by creating a case against Michael.

Michael And Jacinda Talked After Michael Put Wiley To Bed

After putting Wiley to bed, Michael and Jacinda relaxed in the Quartermaine kitchen. Michael praised Jacinda for her care of Wiley and how she dealt with Willow and Nina.

Jacinda worried they might use this against him in court, but Michael felt secure, believing Willow would be found guilty of attempted murder.

When Jacinda worried her past as a sex worker affecting his image, Michael reassured her that he was fine with her being around the kids and intended to introduce her to them.

Jacinda laughed that Nina’s plan backfired, and Michael started to vent about Nina and Willow but quickly stopped, recalling his dad’s warning.

Michael Said Willow’s Selfishness Triggered Him

He explained that Willow’s selfishness triggered him, and he feared Alexis would make him speak poorly of his ex in court. Jacinda realized that such a reaction could make him seem guilty of framing Willow-Michael stressed the need to stay calm and for her to provide a solid alibi. He asked if anyone could confirm they weren’t together the night of Drew’s shooting.

Jacinda said she was alone in her hotel room after they separated, and Michael concluded that only those in the room knew she was covering for him. He then kissed her hand gently, thanking her again for her support.

Jason and Britt Continued Their Conversation At Bobbie’s

At Bobbie’s, Britt complained about Portia’s disrespect, especially since she was hiding something for the doctor.

Jason thought Portia was trying to protect Britt and the hospital from a big lawsuit, but Britt was upset, saying she was a good doctor stuck as a receptionist.

She ranted about hating her job, living above Bobbie’s, and blamed Jason for bringing her back to Port Charles when she had a good job at the Five Poppies before he messed it up.

Jason sincerely told Britt he was thankful she was in town and had saved Ned’s life. He also shared that he wanted to thank Ned for keeping the family together during tough times and appreciated everything Britt had done for his cousin before.

Danny And Charlotte Rushed In And Told Jason And Britt About Rocco

Britt deflected, saying Gio had started CPR, but Jason pointed out she ensured Ned didn’t die while Gio tried to save his grandfather, which would have been terrible.

Britt, uncomfortable with the praise, said she hated when Jason talked about her like she was good, because he was wrong. Jason looked her in the eye and said, “I’m not wrong. You know it.” Later, Britt got her purse from the waitress where the kids left it and joked about hoping nothing was taken.

Then, Danny and Charlotte rushed in, Rocco asking his dad for help because they broke into the research lab at PCU. “Danny and I got away, but Rocco got caught,” Charlotte said, making Jason and Britt exchange worried looks.
