Ric Lansing Attacks Alexis Davis

At the hospital, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) gave Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) an envelope of papers that the D.A. was expecting.

She then inquired if Molly had heard from Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). They both expressed their surprise that he managed to stay on his digital detox for so long without breaking the rules and reaching out to either of them.

Meanwhile, in her living room, Alexis was on the phone with her assistant, Suzanne (Jen Ray), discussing the schedule for the next day while enjoying a tray of tea.

Unbeknownst to her, Ric was lurking around the corner; once Alexis settled on the couch, Ric crept up behind her and pressed Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers)  dagger against her throat!

Ava Jerome Saves The Day

When Ric insisted that she contact the police and admit to keeping him captive, Alexis pointed out that calling the cops would implicate them all in crimes, including him.

Ric pushed Alexis against the fireplace mantle and demanded she call Elizabeth on speakerphone. Just as the call connected, Ava rushed over and splashed hot water in Ric’s face, making him scream in agony and collapse to the ground!

Quickly ending the call, Alexis sent a text. Liz heard a scream in the background before the line went silent, and shortly after, she received a text from Alexis stating that her call had been a mistake.

Elizabeth Baldwin Follows Up

GH spoilers and recaps for the October 3 show notes that when Liz insisted she heard Ric’s voice, Molly laughed, “You really think my dad left his detox and returned to Port Charles without telling us just to see my mom?”

After Molly departed, Liz sent Ric a message, inquiring if he was back in town. In Alexis’s living room, Ric attempted to get up, but Ava struck him in the face with a serving tray, knocking him out cold.

As they took Ric back to his basement confinement, Alexis remarked that he appeared quite clear-headed for someone who had been drugged for weeks, and Ava questioned how he managed to escape in the first place.

While searching around the bed, Ava discovered the stash of pills Ric had vomited, concealed beneath the mattress.

Ric’s A Hostage … Again!

To prevent Ric from escaping again, Ava used handcuffs to secure him to the bed instead of duct tape. When Ric regained consciousness, he panicked at being cuffed to the bed, and Ava called him “a greedy ass” for trying to outsmart Alexis instead of making a proper escape.

Ric claimed it was cruel to keep him locked up, Alexis dryly apologized for not providing the same comforts in her basement as he had in the panic room for Carly.

She informed him that he only needed to wait another 10 days before they would release him. Ava forced a sedative down his throat, with Alexis gagging him before leaving him alone once more.

Britt Westbourne Tries To Stop Father-Son Meeting

General Hospital recaps for Friday state that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was looking at a Port Charles Press article on his tablet about his shooting.

Meanwhile, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), James, and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) encountered Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) in the hallway.

Liesl was excited to introduce her grandson to Nathan, but an anxious Britt sent James to the vending machine. She tried to stall the meeting by asking if Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would be comfortable with James meeting Nathan.

Felicia responded that she and Spinelli had thought about Maxie’s feelings, but they believed they shouldn’t prevent James from getting to know his father.

West Men Meet

Britt was able to persuade Felicia and Spinelli to wait on introductions until they spoke with a child therapist first. However, when they went to inform James, he was nowhere to be found; unbeknownst to the adults, James had entered Nathan’s room.

The young boy offered to share a drink with his dad but was unsure if Nathan preferred orange or grape soda. Concluding that both orange and grape were their favorite sodas, Nathan and James raised their glasses in a toast to their shared taste.

When the other adults discovered James in Nathan’s room, Britt looked worried, Felicia and Liesl smiled at the sight of father and son enjoying drinks together.

Damian Spinelli Troubled

Spinelli appeared troubled by the boy bonding with his biological father; noticing Spinelli’s discomfort, Felicia followed him into the hallway.

Spinelli  confessed that he felt jealous because he had been James’s unofficial father for the boy’s whole life- “I know it’s probably just jealousy, but something seems off,” Spinelli reflected.

After being scolded by Elizabeth for leaving the ER, Britt was angry, saying she was handling a family matter since her nephew had just met his father who came back to life.

She challenged the head nurse to fire her-Liz softened and let Britt off the hook but asked her to inform her next time she needed a longer break.

Then, from her position outside Nathan’s room, Britt observed Spinelli and Felicia conversing before looking back into the hospital room, feeling uneasy about the connection forming between Liesl, James, and Nathan.

Michael Corinthos & Tracy Quartermaine In The Quartermaine Crypt

At the Q estate, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) discovered Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) at the crypt, where she was frustrated about the “hornet’s nest” she had to handle to protect him from a murder charge.

When Michael mentioned that he had an alibi, Tracy shot back that it was a flimsy one, given that Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) had a questionable past with the victim.

Additionally, Tracy reminded him that she could place him outside of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house when the shooting occurred.

Then, Michael clarified that he had gone to confront Drew, but while standing in the heavy rain, he changed his mind and left.

“I can’t tell if you’re lying,” she scolded, adding that she didn’t care if Michael was truly guilty of shooting Drew — only that he stayed a free man.

Michael Wondered Why Tracy Wanted To Protect Him

GH recaps indicate that when Michael questioned why she was trying to keep him safe, especially since if he ended up in jail, her children could take over leadership at the company.

Tracy explained it was about honoring Monica; “Michael, she wouldn’t want anything to happen to you-so, it’s my job — no, it’s my duty — to ensure that nothing does,” she promised. Michael then thanked Tracy for everything she does for the family, and she mentioned that she hoped when he took over Monica’s house, he would let her keep living there.

“This will soon be your house, but it will always be my home,” she gently shared. Tracy hadn’t actually seen Monica’s will, but that was her assumption.

Sonny Corinthos’s New Friend

While paying tribute to Monica at the G.H. memorial wall, Sonny met Monica’s sister, Veronica “Ronnie” Bard (Erika Slezak). When she found out he was Michael’s adoptive father, Ronnie said she wouldn’t let Tracy prevent her from getting to know Monica’s grandson.

She shared her uncomfortable encounter with the matriarch at the Quartermaine crypt, and they both agreed that Tracy was a spoiled snob.

Later, Sonny took Ronnie, a seasoned waitress, to Bobbie’s, and she was impressed by the local diner.

Ronnie Gets An Invitation

During lunch, they shared their feelings about the time lost due to estrangements with family Ronnie with Monica and Sonny with his deceased father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail).

Ronnie was pleased to hear from Sonny that, according to Michael, Monica was content with her life in her final days and had passed away peacefully. Back in her hotel room at the Metro Court, Ronnie got a phone call and accepted an invitation from the caller.

“Well,” she smiled to herself. “This should be interesting.”

Carly Spencer’s Interrogation

Anna called Carly in for a follow-up meeting to discuss the points of Michael’s statement that related to his mother’s. Anna mentioned the phone call between mother and son from that night, and Carly recalled their conversation.

She had told him that Willow had returned to Drew and advised him not to give in to Drew’s threats. “Drew’s making a lot of assumptions about what he can control,” a determined Michael had responded; “He has no idea how quickly things can change for him.”

Back in her current conversation, Carly dismissed that phone call as nothing unusual.

Carly’s A Suspect

Without letting Carly know she was now a suspect, Anna continued to ask about how Carly’s relationship with Monica had evolved over the years, and whether she was still welcome at the Quartermaine estate.

Carly confirmed that except for Tracy, she was welcome at the Qs anytime; doubting Anna’s questions, Carly accused the police commissioner of trying to blame Drew’s shooting on the obvious suspect.

Anna maintained that her role was to investigate all possible suspects; when Carly insisted again Michael  was not a killer, Anna pointed out that Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown) would disagree.

Carly was offended by this comment, as Michael had been protecting her and his sister; this led Anna to respond that she knew Carly would do anything to protect her son too.

In response, Carly stormed out and slammed the door; once in the hallway, she closed her eyes and shook her head before leaving.

Molly Lansing-Davis’s Insight

General Hospital recaps for Friday, October 3 state that Molly arrived at Anna’s office, where the commissioner revealed that the ballistics report indicated the two bullets taken from Drew matched a gun from Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) collection in the system.

Anna proposed her theory that Carly and Michael might have had access to the gun, noting their weak alibis. Molly then mentioned that when she and Kristina visited Michael earlier that day to express their condolences, Jacinda was also present for the same reason.

She suspected he had orchestrated the situation to bolster his alibi; considering Michael had the means, motive, and opportunity, Anna said this placed him at the top of the suspect list, alongside Carly.

Molly and Anna concluded although they needed a search warrant to retrieve the gun, if forensics could link the weapon to either Carly or Michael, it would suffice for an arrest.

CarSon Meeting

Meeting with Sonny at Bobbie’s, Carly mentioned that she had just come from the PCPD, and from Anna’s inquiries, she suspects they are considering Michael as the main suspect in Drew’s shooting.

She worried she might have inadvertently revealed something since Anna already possessed Michael’s phone records.

Carly disclosed to Sonny that she had given Michael a strong motive during a phone call when she informed him that Willow was returning to Drew.

Carly also noted that Anna’s questions involved how she and Monica had reconciled and how often she visited the Quartermaines.

Sonny concluded  Anna likely didn’t believe Carly’s alibi of being with Jack that night any more than him; “Anna knows you would do anything for Michael,” he inferred, “and so do I.”
