Rumors Of Tying The Knot
Rumors that Laura and Wes might be engaged started about four years ago. Originally, the rumors started because she shared a photo on social media that showed her with a ring on her finger. However, she set the record straight. Since then, more rumors arrived and GH fans wish they would tie the knot.
On the weekend, Laura returned to her Instagram to talk about a recent meet-and-greet event in Detroit and Cleveland. In her caption, the GH star revealed that one kind fan not only presented her with a nice card, but also a wedding gift.
If you don’t know, a fake AI wedding post made the rounds on Facebook, and ended up on X, formerly Twitter. That happened in mid-August, but Laura put fans fans right by noting it was “fake.”
Well, the news didn’t reach one kind-hearted fan who met the daytime drama star.
The Sweet Gift & Card
In her caption, Laura said:
Such a fun weekend in Detroit (but not Detroit) and Cleveland! We had a nice 3-hour road trip with lots of laughs while Chris did all the driving – we have quite a few notes we could give Avis Rent-A-Car in Detroit but our very entertaining shuttle driver made up for it in Cleveland.
Next, the real-life Carly Spencer Corinthos talked about the wedding gift for her and Wes Ramsey. She added, “I got a nice wedding present and card but I’m not married (thank you Facebook AI) ha!!!”
It sounds like the fan still gave Laura the gift, anyway. However, folks should be aware of fake news and AI. In fact, it seemed like a fairly harmless prank to share AI photos. But, in the case of Steve Burton, one woman sold her home to send him money because they believed she and Steve were engaged in a real conversation about love ever-after.
Fans React To The Mistake
In the comments section, a few ABC fans talked about the wedding gift and the card. One of them said, “You got a wedding card? Guess AI fools the best of us. It’s getting too good even for me to spot now sometimes.”
Meanwhile, another GH fan told Laura, “The wedding rumor was hilarious, but that fan was so sweet! Thank you for coming to Cleveland!! Had a blast!!”
