General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that fans are anxiously awaiting the return of Maxie Jones, as the character has exited the canvas due to a coma.
That’s because her portrayer, Kristen Storms, has a lot going on in her life: from a move to Tennessee to some health issues. The actress recently hopped on social media to provide fans with an update.
Good News – Bad News
Storms uploaded a video to her Instagram Stories to provide fans with some information on what’s going on with her – thanks to a reminder from her daughter Harper (who doesn’t have IG but is clearly living vicariously through her actress mom).
Storms told fans that she ended up getting strep throat between her drive from St. Louis to Tennessee. The good news is, she has been on antibiotics for four or five days.
With that said, the actress did acknowledge that the strep throat did not deter her from getting her new apartment in Tennessee set up.
Storms Discovered How Strong She Is
In the video, Storms admits that taking on the task of moving, on her own as a single mom, has been a bit of a challenge.
Especially since she’s so independent and believes she can do things on her own. She did mention that her bestie, and former GH co-star, Emme Rylan (ex-Lulu Spencer), can relate.
Storms goes on to say that she’s assembled all her apartment’s furniture herself. She also told fans how she purchased a chair from a thrift store for $25, cleaned it, and dyed it!
The 41-year-old GH actress revealed earlier this month that she was set to have brain surgery very soon for an aneurysm that was found during a follow-up scan regarding a cyst that was removed in 2021.
In another Instagram video, she noted that these can be caused by stress, so the discovery of the aneurysm was a contributing factor to her Los Angeles to Nashville, move.
