General Hospital star Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) lost his home during the terrible Palisades fire early this year. The news that an arrest was made might cheer up folks like Cameron from GH, Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us), Eugene Levy (Schitt’s Creek), Billy Crystal (When Harry Met Sally) and more. They lost their homes and much of their lives when high winds turned the area into a raging inferno.
This week, Fox 35 Orlando reported that the arrested suspect had lived in the area. However, he moved to Florida since then. Apparently, officials found that a Uber driver named Jonathan Rinderknecht had “videos of the fire taken on his cellphone.” Additionally, “cellphone records and witness statements were among the evidence connecting [him] to the fire.”
The Reality Of Loss
Many people who lost their homes initially didn’t get much sympathy. After all, the Palisades is a wealthy area, and folks argued that the wealthy had insurance. However, Cameron Mathison opened up several times. Most recently, on the Soapy podcast he explained how he felt angry and bitter.
It happened at a bad time after his split from his wife. His kids left for college and he lost his favorite pup. In that interview, he explained that the anger made it easier to play the role of despized Drew Cain.
