Cane Ashby shows up at Newman Ranch with a BILLION DOLLAR offer to get his dangerous AI software back, but Victor’s already ten steps ahead and Cane’s phone starts pinging with urgent messages from his lawyer. Welcome to Your Exclusive Canadian Day-Ahead Y&R Recap!

Happy Friday, Canadian Y&R fans! We’re living 24 hours in the future, and Friday’s episode is PEAK Victor Newman villainy! Cane Ashby thinks he can throw money at his problems, but you can’t negotiate with The Mustache when he’s already won. This is going to be BRUTAL!

Victor Newman Is Playing 4D Chess While Everyone Else Plays Checkers

Let’s start at Newman Ranch where Adam Newman drops by for some quality father-son scheming time. Victor gives him an update about Noah’s recovery (he’s doing better!), and mentions he’s pleased about the social media hit piece against Cane Ashby. Adam wonders if Victor has started using Cane’s stolen AI software to “cripple” Jabot yet.

But HERE’S where Victor shows why he’s the KING of corporate warfare: he’s decided to HOLD OFF on using the AI! Why? Because the Abbotts are EXPECTING him to use it, so Victor’s going to wait for the perfect moment to strike when they least expect it. This man is playing 4D chess while everyone else is still figuring out how the pieces move!

Victor tells Adam that when the time comes, he’ll need Adam to create an “enormous distraction” and wants him to be “very creative” about it. Adam says it “leaves a lot to the imagination,” which is basically Victor-speak for “do something completely unhinged to throw everyone off.” Victor suspects Adam is reluctant to go after Jack Abbott because of their friendship, but Adam insists that business is business and Newman Enterprises comes FIRST!

Victor’s absolutely THRILLED to hear it and reveals that he KNOWS Cane Ashby and Jack Abbott are planning a counter-attack. He says Phyllis Summers gave him “the keys to the kingdom” with that stolen AI software, and he’s going to use it “in a massive way!” Then Victor drops this ominous line: “Cane Ashby will soon regret returning to Genoa City.”

Translation: Cane is TOAST. Victor Newman doesn’t make idle threats—he makes promises!

Y&R fans, what kind of “enormous distraction” do you think Adam will create? Will Victor completely destroy Jabot or just wound them enough to take control? Email your wildest theories to [email protected]—we need to know what you think Victor’s planning!

Jack Abbott And Diane Jenkins Are Sitting Ducks

Over at Society restaurant, Jack Abbott and Diane Jenkins are having breakfast and obsessively reading news feeds about Jabot. Jack’s relieved that Victor hasn’t made any moves against them YET, but he knows The Mustache is just waiting for the perfect time to strike. This waiting game is absolutely MADDENING for Jack!

Diane tries to be optimistic, suggesting that maybe Victor doesn’t actually HAVE the AI software. Maybe Cane lied to throw them off! But Jack isn’t buying it—he knows Victor has it, and he’s going to make sure Cane pays for any damage that happens.

Diane mentions that Kyle must have left for LA by now (NOPE, he hasn’t, but we’ll get to that later), and wonders if Jack has second thoughts about sending him back. Jack says he’s just antsy waiting for Victor’s attack. Diane then has this WILD idea: what if they told Claire Newman that Victor is planning to attack Jabot? Maybe it would bring her closer to Kyle!

Jack immediately shuts that down. The LAST thing Kyle needs is his parents getting involved in his love life! As they leave the restaurant, Jack insists that Kyle is “destined” to be with Claire Newman. Diane thinks KYLE believes that, but she’s not so sure Claire does!

Diane Jenkins with the TRUTH BOMB! Claire’s been pretty clear about needing space, but Jack and Kyle are both in denial about it!

Lily Winters Warns Cane: Victor ALWAYS Wins

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Lily Winters spots Cane Ashby and sits down with him. Cane immediately assumes she wants to talk about how much their kids miss him, but Lily sets him straight: yes, the kids miss him (he IS their father), but that social media hit piece definitely didn’t help matters!

Cane admits he could have handled everything better with his kids and with Lily. He insists he would have DESTROYED the AI software if it hadn’t been stolen. Lily asks if he has any idea who might have taken it, and Cane says it’s either Phyllis Summers or Victor Newman—and Victor is the most likely culprit. But here’s the thing: he doesn’t know for SURE that Victor has it, and he doesn’t even know if the program has been launched yet because everything’s been completely silent!

Lily can’t believe Cane built something so powerful and dangerous and then just LET IT GET LOOSE. Cane explains he built in a failsafe, but someone has to physically possess the software to use it. He already warned Jack and Diane that Victor probably has it.

Lily drops some HARSH truth: the Abbotts will still blame Cane if things go south with the software. She points out that the program was “conveniently” stolen from him right before he was supposed to destroy it—that’s pretty irresponsible! And if Phyllis and Victor have it, they won’t just go after Jabot—they’ll target Arabesque and Winters companies too! She wouldn’t be surprised if Phyllis stole it since she’s an excellent hacker!

Cane says he hasn’t given up trying to protect everyone. Lily asks what he’s doing, and Cane refuses to tell her because he doesn’t want to disappoint her AGAIN. But if his plan works out, she’ll be the first to know.

Then Lily delivers the LINE that should have stopped Cane in his tracks: “I hope you’re not going head-to-head against Victor, because Victor ALWAYS wins.”

LILY! You tried to warn him! But does Cane listen? NOPE! He admits he’s already failed by letting someone steal the program, he regrets everything about his Aristotle Dumas persona, and it’s cost him EVERYTHING. Then he drops the bomb: he’s going to confront Victor Newman and offer him a DEAL!

Girl, Victor Newman doesn’t make DEALS! He makes DEMANDS!

Cane’s Billion Dollar Offer BACKFIRES Spectacularly

Later, Cane shows up at Newman Ranch (with Adam letting him in), and announces he’s there for ONE reason: to offer Victor a deal. He’ll give Victor ONE BILLION DOLLARS if Victor gives him back the AI software so he can destroy it.

Let that sink in. BILLION. With a B. That’s how desperate Cane is!

Victor just GRINS like the cat who ate the canary and casually asks if Cane is SURE he can deliver on a billion dollars. Cane says yes, but only if Victor holds up his end of the bargain.

Then Cane’s phone pings with a notification from his lawyer Amanda Sinclair: “Call me. Urgent.”

Victor’s grin gets WIDER. “Is there a problem?”

Cane looks at Victor in horror and asks, “What have you done?”

Victor just SMIRKS because he’s already MADE HIS MOVE! Cane’s billion dollar offer is TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE! Whatever Victor’s done, it’s already in motion, and Cane’s entire world is about to come crashing down!

This is PEAK Victor Newman, folks! The man doesn’t negotiate—he ANNIHILATES! Lily tried to warn Cane that Victor always wins, but Cane thought he could outsmart The Mustache with money. WRONG! Victor doesn’t want Cane’s money—he wants Cane DESTROYED! And based on that urgent message from Cane’s lawyer, Victor’s already succeeding!

Friday’s episode sets up SO much corporate warfare drama! We cannot WAIT to see what Victor’s done to Cane and when he’s finally going to unleash that AI software on Jabot!

Drop your thoughts in the comments below! Do you think Victor will accept Cane’s billion dollars or is Cane already finished? And what “massive distraction” will Adam create for Jack Abbott?

We have a whole lot of feelings about Sienna & Noah! Spoiler alert: NONE OF THEM ARE GOOD!
