The Movie Is Called “The Roaring Game”
The Roaring Game centers around the character of Rickey, portrayed by Brooks, who works as a custodian in a high school. He is struggling to come to terms with the painful reality that his girlfriend is set to leave him in order to pursue her dreams of playing hockey for Team USA.
In a desperate attempt to win her back, he gathers a group of unlikely individuals to form a curling team and embarks on a journey to the World Games.
They will compete for the coveted gold medal; the filming of this engaging story took place over a span of three weeks in the picturesque setting of Rhode Island. The film also features notable performances from Mickey Rourke and William Forsythe.
