Why Does The Internet Think Dolly Is Dead
Dolly Parton fans were in panic mode a few days ago after the singer’s sister Freida shared a post on social media and asked her followers to pray for Dolly.
Freida’s post came just a few days after news broke that the singer was sick. Naturally the internet assumed that Dolly’s sister was asking for prayers because she wasn’t doing well. But, it turns out she just likes praying.
After Freida asked for prayers, photoshopped images of Dolly in a hospital bed began getting shared across social media platforms.
Seeing that the rumors were getting a bit out of hand and the internet thought she was dead, Dolly Parton put on her heels and filmed a video of herself to clarify what was going on.

Dolly Parton’s Shares Health Update
On Instagram the country music singer explained, “Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here! Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate. I appreciate your prayers, ’cause I’m a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I want you to know that I’m okay.”
Dolly’s little sister Freida also shared another post on social media and wrote, “I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.”
So in conclusion, Dolly Parton is still alive and Freida jumped the gun on the prayer train. Are you happy to hear the country music singer is still kicking?
