What Is EJ DiMera Planning in His Secret Lab?
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has been operating a mysterious laboratory in the basement construction zone at University Hospital — the SAME hospital hosting the anniversary gala. He’s not working alone either. Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) is back, and we all know what that means. Resurrections. Evil science. DiMera madness!
But here’s where it gets really twisted. EJ isn’t just following in daddy’s footsteps anymore. He’s wearing Stefano‘s ring. Drinking Strega (Stefano’s signature drink!). The man bought an entire hospital as his “empire.” Something tells me this isn’t about bringing Stefano back… it’s about EJ BECOMING him.
Why Are Marlena and Susan Having Visions?
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) can’t escape the nightmares. She’s dreaming she’s Stefano‘s Queen of the Night again — and longtime viewers know EXACTLY what that means. Evil is stirring.

Wait, what?! A fictional murder book becoming reality? At the same time EJ‘s conducting sinister experiments? This can’t be a coincidence.
What’s Next for Salem?
Could this mean Johnny DiMera discovers his father’s transformation too late? Don’t be surprised if the Tom Horton Clinic gala becomes ground zero for DiMera chaos. Given EJ‘s history of daddy issues (and let’s be real, the man has MAJOR daddy issues), this psychological transformation into Stefano 2.0 makes perfect, twisted sense.
The new writers promised to blend Days’ fantastical elements with human relationships. Well, what’s more human than a son’s desperate need for his dead father’s approval? Even if it means becoming a monster himself…
