Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease it may not really be the end for Xander and Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Paul Telfer, Linsey Godfrey). There’s a very good chance their love will rise again like The Phoenix, according to Paul and Linsey!
Explosive Split, But Not Necessarily The End Of Their Onscreen Bond
Xander and Sarah’s breakup might be dramatic, but the actors hinted that it doesn’t have to mean the end of their relationship on screen.
In Days of our Lives, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) gently but insistently pushed Xander to do what guilt alone couldn’t achieve: reveal the truth to Sarah.
He was responsible for nearly killing Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier), and now everything they had built together- therapy, trust, and promises to avoid lies-has fallen apart.
In a heartbreaking moment, Sarah took off her rings, kicked him out, and told him not to return; it felt like a conclusion.
However, as both Paul Telfer and Linsey Godfrey recently pointed out, “final” might not be as absolute when it comes to these two.
Xander And Sarah May Not Be Done Forever
Paul Telfer shared insights about the relationship between Xander and Sarah, emphasizing that their connection can remain robust on-screen without the necessity of a romantic label.
Linsey Godfrey also recognized their tumultuous yet captivating past, suggesting that the possibility for reconciliation is still very much alive.
Given their shared experiences, including their child and the undeniable chemistry that exists between them, it seems that this might not be the conclusion of the saga of ‘Xarah.’
In the world of Salem’s love stories, what appears to be ‘final’ often serves as merely the prologue to a new chapter in the couple’s journey.
The Breakup That Changed Everything
In a conversation with Soaps, the duo emphasized that this is not a separation that can be resolved in a matter of days. Telfer pointed out that the manner in which this storyline is crafted enables the actors to break free from the conventional “happily ever after” narrative.
He elaborated, saying, “The show, the writers, and each other came to the realization that we don’t necessarily have to be married to share scenes together.”
And, he further added, “Moreover, we don’t have to be involved in a romantic relationship to create incredible scenes together, in fact.” This represents a significant change in the way that stories involving “Xarah” could unfold in the future.
It’s Not Just Another Ride On The Break Up And Make Up Merry Go Round
This is not merely another spin on the familiar breakup-reunion cycle. There exists a refreshing sense that both characters are finally being given the space to exist independently for a change-which, quite ironically, could enhance the depth of their connection when portrayed on-screen.
Telfer emphasized that what truly holds significance is not whether Sarah and Xander are living in marital bliss or are at each other’s throats.
Rather, it is the fact that the two actors continue to infuse that unpredictable, intense energy that fans have come to adore.
Paul And Linsey Continued To Talk About The ‘Xarah’ Magic
“As long as Linsey and I are collaborating and we have material to work with, the specifics of the material are not as important as long as you have something to engage with.
Or at least it being in the context of a happy relationship” Paul stated. Godfrey understands that Xarah’s path has been quite rocky.
“Xarah’s relationship has been far from easy,” she said, emphasizing that the couple frequently faces challenges and has repeatedly split up and gotten back together.
Even though this recent breakup seems definitive, she isn’t completely shutting the door. She mentioned that the journey is the most enjoyable aspect of seeing these two together.
You Can Never Say Never With Xander And Sarah
Linsey took the time to comfort fans by emphasizing that their bond is strong, even during times of separation. “Sarah and Xander can never be too far apart,” Godfrey expressed. “They have a child together, and they share a past.”
She pointed out that while many factors link the two, it’s ultimately the show’s creators who favor their pairing. So yes — Xander might be spending the night alone, and Sarah could be angry, but if Salem has shown us anything, it’s that love in the afternoon seldom stays buried for long.
