Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Chad DiMera will be sporting a new face very soon, as actor Conner Floyd has been recast in the role and has already started filming on the soap. Floyd recently interviewed with E! News for DOOL’s 60th anniversary celebration, and he talked about a plethora of topics.
Conner Floyd Celebrates 60 Years Of Days
Floyd uploaded the interview onto his IG account. The video had the following caption: “Happy 60th @dayspeacock • Honored to be in Salem Thanks for the love @enews.”
The E! News interviewer asked the actor what fans should expect from Floyd’s version of Chad DiMera, and he answered, “A lot of drama.” He also noted that Chad is one who always walks a tight line between his “vicious” DiMera roots and the “good’ influence the Hortons have offered, so Days audiences can expect more of that.

Floyd was also asked about how welcoming the cast was when he entered the set, and the actor acknowledged that everyone was “Super welcoming”.
He also talked about how hard the Days cast works and the challenging workload that daytime drama actors/actresses face. Floyd revealed that everyone on DOOL pushes to the limit and holds each other accountable. It sounds like Floyd’s enjoying his time on the Peacock soap!
Conner Floyd’s Roots
Of course, Floyd’s first soap opera gig was playing Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless (Y&R) from 2021 to 2025. In a fun twist, the “old” Chad DiMera, actor Billy Flynn, entered the Y&R canvas in the spring of this year as a recast, too, as Cane Ashby.
Flynn and Floyd worked together for a few months on the Y&R, until Chance was killed off on the CBS soap; at Cane’s summer home in France, of course!
According to People, Floyd is slated to debut as Chad DiMera on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
