Another McBride Hits The Canvas!
As per the Beyond the Gates preview video for the week of September 29, Donnell McBride, the son of Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) and Doug McBride (Jason Graham) will debut this week.
Actor Alex Cheeks has been cast in the role, and is expected to debut on Wednesday, October 1. Fans should brace for an explosive confrontation between Donnell and Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) in the days ahead.
Speaking of, this past Wednesday, September 24 marked Jason Graham’s final episode with BTG as Doug. Doug was part of storylines since ‘day one’ when the show debuted on February 24.
Additional Casting Notes For Season 2
There are some added casting notes for BTG’s Season 2. As per the X.com account, A Beyond the Gates fan, actor Kovar McClure is set to play Lance next season, for a minimum of three episodes (information was found on IMDb.com).
In addition, the same X account is reporting that actress Toni Moore will debut on the show at the end of Season 1. Moore posted about it on her Instagram account. Her caption read, “Wrapped Season 1 of Beyond the Gates airing on CBS! Not a major role YET!! but learning so much on set!”
Moore went on to say, “Every day was a masterclass! Grateful to be working on the first ever all-Black Cast soap opera!! Are you guys watching? It’s getting spicy! Weekdays 2pm ET/1pm PT & streaming on Paramount +”
It sounds like whomever Moore is playing, may not be on canvas for very long, for now, but only time will tell!
