Just when you thought Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) had FINALLY turned her life around, her granddaughter Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) has blown everything to smithereens! The reformed villain’s carefully constructed new life with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is in total ruins. And honestly? This might be the most devastating loss Sheila has ever faced!
What Happened to Sheila’s Marriage to Deacon?
Deacon walked out on Sheila after discovering her months of deception about Luna.
The bartender learned that his wife not only knew Luna survived being shot in July, but she actively helped her granddaughter’s scheme to trap Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) by getting him drunk and assaulting him. Even worse? Sheila was GLEEFUL about the whole twisted plot! When Deacon overheard the truth, he was done. Finished. Out the door.

One minute Sheila is cackling with evil glee about Luna drugging Will (which, let’s not forget, is EXACTLY what Sheila did to Dr. Scott Grainger back in the day on Y&R!). The next minute she’s telling Luna to leave town and respect Finn and Steffy.

Here’s the deal: When Luna first revealed her pregnancy in September, Sheila called it a “master stroke” and saw dollar signs — or rather, Spencer dynasty signs. But the SECOND Deacon found out and threatened to leave? Complete 180! Suddenly Sheila was all about being reasonable and trying to fix things.
Why Didn’t Sheila Help Luna When She Was Shot?
This is where things get REALLY twisted.
Back in July when Luna got shot after threatening Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) at little Hayes‘s art school, Sheila — a trained NURSE — made zero effort to help her bleeding granddaughter. Zero! She just stood there lamenting what Luna had done.
Self-preservation, much? Sheila knew getting involved meant prison time, and her “reformed” life with Deacon was more important than playing grandma nurse.
What’s This Alliance with Li Finnegan About?
In the wildest twist yet, Sheila and Dr. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) are becoming… wait for it… CONFIDANTES!
These two grandmothers who literally tried to kill each other are now forced to work together to control their chaos-creating granddaughter. Li was the one who secretly saved Luna from the hospital and hid her. Now both grandmas are trying to manage the “nightmare” Luna has created with this Will situation.
Can you imagine those family dinners?
What’s Next for Sheila Carter?
Deacon is reportedly turning to Dr. Taylor Hayes for support (because THAT’S not awkward at all!), leaving Sheila more isolated than ever. Without her “Deacon Anchor” keeping her reformed, all bets are off.
Don’t be surprised if Sheila starts reverting to her old ways. Given Luna‘s history of mirroring grandma’s crimes, could we see a baby swap storyline if Luna loses this pregnancy? The apple doesn’t fall far from the poisoned tree!
This likely leads to Sheila facing the ultimate test: Will she help Luna pull off another crime, proving she’ll never change? Or will she actually stop her granddaughter and prove there’s hope for redemption?

She’s literally at war with herself. When she’s with Deacon, she’s trying to be good. When she’s with Luna, all those villain instincts come rushing back. It’s like having an angel on one shoulder (Deacon) and a devil on the other (Luna) — except the devil is her own flesh and blood pulling her back into darkness!
