Many artists set creative boundaries based on their values, artistic vision or audience needs. We were curious if Aidee has any topics or themes they intentionally steer clear of in their work. Aidee explained, I try to avoid specific topical subjects. This helps ensure that my comics will still hold up in a decade or two.

It’s always interesting to peek into the daily life of a cartoonist. We were curious about what a typical day looks like for Aidee and if there are any unique habits or routines that influence their work. Aidee explained, I usually start by lying in bed and scrolling through the internet for a while. Some people might call it procrastination, but there’s a method behind my laziness. Ideas don’t just materialize out of thin air; they come from your brain processing information, whether consciously or unconsciously. I find that introducing new information to my brain helps fuel the creative process. After that I get up and start on some real procrastination that has nothing to do with work.
