Prince Andrew is back in the headlines again for all the wrong reasons. Of course, he’s not meant to be called ‘Prince’ anymore and should officially be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. However, nobody in the media pays much attention to that. This time, the speculation mounts after he allegedly messed about with ladyboys in Thailand.
The Misadventures Of ‘Randy Andy’
The story about the misadventures of “Randy Andy” isn’t new, but the bit about the ladyboys is currently circulating. A royal historian claimed that during a diplomatic visit in the early 2000s, Andrew had 40 sex workers brought to his five-star hotel in Bangkok over a four-day period. The historian, Andrew Lownie, described the situation as a “spectacular fall from grace.”

The accusations suggest that Andrew, who served as the UK’s trade envoy, used taxpayer-funded travel for personal pleasure. It’s alleged he repeatedly mixed his official duties with private excursions to meet transgender women, commonly referred to as “ladyboys” in Thailand. According to Lownie, this behavior was an open secret among embassy staff.
Lownie also claimed that the shenanigans were witnessed by others, including a Reuters journalist and a member of the Thai royal family. It’s looking good, as the allegations rise again after the King stripped him of his titles. Of course, the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and the posthumous memoir from Virginia Giuffre only make it all so much more tantalizing for royal family critics.
Will He Flee The UK?
When Sky News Australia raised the subject, the anchor, Rita Panahi, suggested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could “flee the jurisdiction entirely.” Firstly, to avoid the demands that he testify before Congress in the USA. And secondly, why not disappear to a stunning Arabian palace? Of course, that would limit what the media could say or show about him.
Speaking with Kinsey, the correspondent, she didn’t want to even think about the truth of the allegations. After all, they seem a bit wild and unsavory. Kinsey said:
I have no reaction to that. I don’t even know where to go with that one. It’s I’m assuming that’s an Andrew Lounie story and he’s come out swinging lately with his Prince Andrew revelations, but I all I can say is I hope that one’s not true.
Prince Andrew really seems to attract wild stories, because he’s great for search returns and for anyone to make a buck or two off their stories.
Royal Family Fan Reaction
In the comment section a few people responded. One of them opined, “He’s so snobby, only to be the smuttiest and grimiest of them all.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
Notably, Andrew was single at the time. But, In Thailand, the law around prostitution is a bit of a gray area. Paying for a private encounter with a “ladyboy,” or any sex worker, isn’t technically against the law. However, the activities that surround it often are. Publicly soliciting services, running a brothel, or making money from someone else’s sex work are all illegal.
What are your thoughts? Do you believe the former Duke of York might avoid all of this gossip and testifying before Congress by disappearing to a jurisdiction that will protect him? Let us know in the comments below, and come back here often for all our Royal Family news and updates.
