BEYOND THE GATES FANS ARE FED UP WITH LESLIE THOMAS AND ASHLEY MORGAN—GIVE US MORE SHANICE JOHNSON, LAURA PETERSON, AND MONA WILSON!
TL;DR: Beyond the Gates fans have spoken… Enough of Leslie and her junior, Eva. Also, BTG fans have had plenty of Nurse Perfect Ashley and her on-again-off-again firefighter man, Derek. It’s time for more of Shanice, Laura, and Miss Mona on Beyond the Gates!!
BTG Fans Will Take Some More Shanice Johnson, & Then Some More Shanice After That
Across social media, Beyond the Gates fans cannot get enough of Shanice Johnson. This RN at Garland Memorial Hospital grabbed soap opera fans’ hearts from day one, back in February 2025. Miss Shanice always has the freshest tea and yet upholds the highest level of professionalism as the lead nurse at Garland Memorial. If only the most annoying of her nurses, Ashley Morgan, could be the same at all. Despite Ashley/Nurse Perfect/Nurse Vanilla being entirely needy and flat-out annoying to nearly everyone she comes in contact with, Shanice leads with class and tries to get Ashley back on the right track.
Yes, anything on Beyond the Gates to make Ashley less annoying is appreciated by soap opera fans, but they want more. Soap opera fans want more Shanice! Can we get Shanice a love interest? She was interested in Ashley’s firefighter, Derek Baldwin, for all of two episodes of Beyond the Gates. So, can she get a legitimate love interest? If not immediately a love interest, can Shanice at least get out and about to socialize? Nurse Shanice cleans up well. Check her when she popped into Uptown and ran into Dr. Nicole Dupree.
Laura Peterson Isn’t Blood; She’s Better on BTG
Thank God, Leslie/Dana Thomas didn’t kill Laura Peterson either of the two times that she tried to. Dr. Nicole’s assistant could not be more sweet. She needs to stay around for a long while, and Beyond the Gates fans would like to see more of her. She’s been popping more and more, and BTG fans across social media are enjoying it.
Recently, during “Winterfest” planning, Laura and the infamous Anita Dupree got one-on-one time and had a really sweet chat. Miss Laura is having challenges with her boyfriend, Dave. Unfortunately, Beyond the Gates fans have not met Dave yet, but it would be nice. Before Laura’s accident, they had plans to travel. So, what is up with this Dave guy? Was he not supportive during Laura’s recovery? Beyond the Gates fans want to know more!

Finally, Beyond the Gates fans NEED more Mona!! Yes, more of Mona Wilson, ASAP. Miss Mona does not put up with any crap from anyone, and she does it with class. Mona has the Duprees’ back, amongst her other close friends, such as Nurse Vanilla’s mother, Jan Morgan. Miss Mona will have anyone’s back until they cross her… For example, her ex-best friend, Leslie Thomas. Even with an attempted guilt trip put on by Leslie’s daughter, Eva Thomas, Miss Mona said HELL NO!!… She seriously does not have any time for that, as she shouldn’t.
Similar to Miss Shanice, can we get Miss Mona a love interest? If not, can she be onscreen more? She should be even more involved with the day-to-day activities of the very busy Dupree family.
