TL;DR: There is something in the water in the DMV on Beyond the Gates, and there are at least three couples who are thirsty for couples therapy ASAP. Too bad the most bad-ass of psychologists, Dr. Nicole Dupree, could probably use some counseling of her own after divorcing Dr. Ted Richardson. Regardless, she’s too close to these couples to do her magic up to her standard. So what’s next for the most troubled couples on BTG? Well, that all depends…
Laura Peterson Back in Fairmont Crest, Boyfriend Blues
Finally, on Beyond the Gates, more of Dr. Nicole Dupree’s sweet assistant, Laura Peterson. Soap opera fans love her, but have been wondering where her boyfriend, Dave, has been. Before she was taken out by Leslie/Dana Thomas and almost died, Laura had plans to travel with her serious boyfriend.
There’s been little to no mention of Dave, up until Laura’s recent visit with Anita Dupree at the Dupree main house inside Fairmont Crest. It was so sweet to see some more character development of Laura.
Miss Laura and her boyfriend Dave may need some couples counseling, or at least some serious chats. Hopefully, Anita has led Laura in the right direction to navigate a positive plan with her man.
Naomi Hawthorne & Jacob Hawthorne vs Ashley Morgan & Derek Baldwin, It’s an ASAP Contest!!
It’s a contest to see which couple can be most annoying on Beyond the Gates and which couple needs the most couples therapy the soonest. The most annoying couple between these two couples is a toss-up and can be debated for hours, but who needs couples counseling the fastest by far goes to Jacob and Naomi Hawthorne.
They are married, and it’s been accidentally revealed that Jacob now wants children while Naomi remains wanting to be child-free within their marriage. If only Naomi had gone to the hospital sooner for a blood test… Or, not? Naomi thought she had entered into a marriage where she and her husband were on the same page about their path without children. Why shouldn’t she have been able to disclose a positive pregnancy test to her husband? She expected his support.
As for Jacob and Naomi’s best pals, Ashley Morgan and Derek Baldwin, they are just engaged and maybe should not get married, at least for now. Ashley is lying about her intermittent feelings for Andre Richardson, and Derek is lying about the status of his recovery.

Well, if there isn’t yet, there should be. The happiest couple right now is between Dani Dupree with her new husband, Andre Richardson, and Dani’s parents, Anita and Vernon Dupree.
Dani and Andre’s marriage has everyone in Fairmont Crest turning their heads. As for Anita and Vernon, if Vernon is doing anything the least bit not right with Sharon of the Articulettes when she is visiting in the DMV, Beyond The Gates fans will lose their damn minds!
